Following the Woolford and Vynehall takes on Shit Robot and The Juan Maclean that surfaced last year, DFA come through with another interestingly themed remix release for their latest 12" offering. Taking on a more esoteric approach, tracks from Eric Copeland and Larry Gus are reworked respectively by Anthony Naples and Bookworms. Copeland and Gus are two of the more psychedelically inclined artists on the DFA roster and it makes for interesting listening to hear their music beaten down into the sort of shapes that work in clubs. The remix of "Bobby Strong" from Anthony Naples continues the young Brooklyn producer's penchant for sinking the propulsive elements of his productions deep beneath sonic grit and it's complemented well by the Bookworms take on "The Night Patrols (A Man Asleep)" which configures Larry Gus into the sort of booming, hypnotic techno you want to hear at Berghain.
