Strap in for this first serving of techno meat from the newly inaugurated Plates label. Facehugger & Deviant take the first course with 'Addiction', a drug addled techno workout with duding drums and squalling synths that would turn anyone unhinged. Citizen Griot's 'More Love' reimagines jungle rhythms with crashing breakbeats, jazzy chords and a neo soul vocal that all adds up to a helluva ride. DJ Squid keeps it perfectly fluid and old school on 'Eudora', a retro jungle cut with a gorgeous vocal that is out of place on paper, but somehow perfect. Last of all, Mr Wilson ends on the dreamy scopes of 'Newfunk3.'
