Milan-based Fred Simon steps up to The Sleepers with two delectable slices of modern funk featuring two incredible vocalists. MoFunk Records' Moniquea lays down some serious sass on 'Don't Go Under' while Amalia, also spotted on Tokyo Dawn and Cherries Records, gets down low on 'Island Of Magic'. Both tracks are dripping with Moog-powered synth goodness, following slick chord progressions with a jazzy flair which nods to neo soul as much as vintage 80s funk, captured with an authoritative touch by Simon on his array of classic studio gear.
