Since delivering their superb debut album, Apero, on Night School, Happy Meals - AKA hardware-loving duo Suzanne Rodden and Lewis Cook - have barely put a foot wrong. Predictably, this sophomore full-length for new Optimo Music offshoot So Low is another inspired outing, even if it is notably more cosmic and mind-altering than their previous releases. Curiously, the set opens and closes with extended electronic tones capable of conjuring hallucinations in even the most sober of listeners. In between, you'll find the trippy, delay-laden drum machine beats, scattergun electronics and hazy new age synthesizer melodies of "May You Be The Mother - May You Be The Sun", the cosmic ambient vibrations of "Full Ashram Emerging Theme" and the drifting electronic exotica of "Every Moment is a Birth", which is little less than sublime.
