We've been eagerly anticipating new material from Helix since the long-awaited Stacks Riddim appeared on All Caps last year, and an entry into Night Slugs' Club Constructions discography is about as welcome a return as we could have hoped for. The five tracks represent the biggest statement the Atlanta producer's made to date, and sees him get an opportunity to refine his grime/techno sound into something purer still; the machine gun drums of "Whoose Ice Dispenser", rough, ascending pitch-shifted chords of "Track Titled 1" and toolish ADD jack of "Linn Jam" take the stripped back approach, while "Linn Jam (With Synth)" and "Damnson" smear their gritty drums with viscous, noisy synth textures - either way, this is killer stuff.
