Wherever these recent house and techno reissues are coming from, the quality of the choices has been simply outstanding. From material by Gene Hunt, to Glenn Underground and Virgo, we've been able to lay our hands on legendary house releases which would have otherwise been incredibly hard to source. This week we have another smacker, this time from house pioneer Jamie Principle - if you don't know who he is, we're mad at you - who is accompanied by another father of the scene, Ron Hardy. Both the tunes are edited by Hardy, who was a master of the craft, the first being "Bad Boy", a coldwave-leaning beauty with the crunchiest percussion you've ever heard. On the B side, "Baby Wants To Ride" is more of a classic, early days Chicago house banger that's full of wonky synths and seductive vocals. Recommended doesn't even come close.
