Last seen operating under the Zauberflauten alias, Norse DJ and producer Jarle Brathen resurfaces under his given name with this excellent slab of Scando-Italo for Full Pupp. Brathen should be familiar to followers of Prins Thomas's enduring label, having contributed to Full Pupp several times over as one half of Ytre Rymden Dansskola alongside Marius Vareid as well as one previous solo drop in 2009. The Italiano Fantastico 12" finds Brathen in fine fettle, dropping two slices of effervescent Nordic Italo disco pitched perfectly for the modern discotheque, with the vivid textures of the title track perhaps just shading it.
