My Love Is Underground stalwart Ebony Cuts reworks and edits tracks from Jessie Gold and the legendary Roy Ayers for the latest release from Finnish disco and boogie outlet Kojak Giant Sounds. The streetwalking funk of Jessie Gold's "Out Of Work" is straddled by hit-hats played like Bloc Party's drummer Matt Tong, while a Bootsy Collins basslines goes toe-to-toe with a stomping kick drum, before the track breaks into gospel type choral. Ebony Cuts then rejigs the light chimes and summer happiness of Raw Ayers' "Can't You See Me", a track that reminds you life ain't that bad, with a vocal reminiscent of Pharrell Williams.
