Not to be confused with pianist Jimmy Jones and his trio, Chicago's Jimmy Jones was an in-house songwriter who emerged onto the stage himself throughout the late 60s to mid 70s. Releasing some of his most remarkable pieces in 1970, here are two of his earliest cuts on Deke Atkins' short-lived label Deke imprint. "Live & Let Live" reveals Jimmy's more sensitive side both lyrically and soulfully as his tone conjure feels on a Johnson level. Snap it up.
