Enduring UK deep house don Jimpster is back with more of his supremely high class sounds on his own Freerange label. The exquisite A-side is taken up in its glorious entirety by 'Smile For A While', a twinkling late night lullaby with smooth but insistent drums overlaid by all manner of lush chord work, celestial pads and angelic vocals. On the flip is 'Echoes In My Head,' a more steamy and hedonistic sounding groover a la Ron Trent, with bubbling keys and bass swirling round to hypnotic effect. Head in the Clouds scuff things up much more for a lovably lo-fi playful rework.
