PMR set the bar high with their first release from Bristol's flame haired tyke Julio Bashmore, and the label promises much more with material from L-Vis 1990 and Two Inch Punch in the coming months. A further flex of credentials is shown on this twelve, with two of the tracks that made up Bashmore's debut getting the remix treatment from the Leeds House Mafia, David Kennedy and Midland. Kennedy adopts the Chicago House legend alias of Maurice Donovan to remix "Battle For Middle You", adding a certain drunk charm to those neon synth lines, whilst there's a satisfying crunch to the beats. Complementing this is a superlative reworking of "Ask Yourself" from rising talent Midland which retains the core brilliance of the original but dips it in a sumptuous sonic mist.
