Having previously contributed to The Corner as part of Civil Duty with Shawn O'Sullivan, Nation and LIES artist Beau Wanzer returns to Anthony Parasole's label under another collaborative guise in Juzer. Working with good Chicago friend Dan Jugel, the Juzer project finds the pair engaging in some notably full throttle techno across four tracks which you can easily envisage Parasole beating down a dancefloor with late into the night. Despite this being their debut record, Wanzer and Jugel have apparently been producing together for the past seven years or so with the latter's background in techno evidently taking the lead on Horseplay. As soon as the needle hits the groove on opening track "Couch Mover" you are left in little doubt as to Juger's intentions here as the record rips through various shades of bare, stripped down to the bones power techno. HEAVY!
