Proper jungle from the Steel City, Kid Lib returns with more wax-only chaos. Four tracks deep, each one taking us deeper into the future with space time continuum shattering edits and atmospheres. "The Curfew" is the hotstepper of the set, all flighty and stuttering. "Shortwave" rolls with a dynamite drum switch mid way, completely flipping the pace and groove. "Boom Cocoon" is much darker and cavernous with its layered drums - in the foreground there's some really Phizix style marching while the background is sprayed with amens. "Monochrome" closes the show with oceanic pads and more of an industrial twang to the drum elements. It doesn't get any more authentic. Close your eyes and you can almost smell the ink drying on the criminal justice bill.
