There's plenty to admire on this tasty new EP from experienced Spaniard Kiko Navarro, a producer whose releases seem to get better with every passing year. He begins with the rolling deep house bounce of "Show You The Way", where a looped vocal sample and squeezable synthesizer motifs rise above a bouncy, classic David Morales style groove, before wrapping kalimba style melodies around a stomping jazz-house groove on "Everything Happens For a Reason". His love of vintage New York house surfaces on the bumpin' bliss of "Black is Back" - all cascading jazz guitar solos and urgent hip-hop vocal samples - whole "La Cosa" is a wonderfully percussive trip into Latin house territory.
