Given the quality of their two part 2011 debut, it's a little disappointing that it's taken Herve Atse Corti and Marco D'Aquino some three years to lay down this follow-up. Pleasingly, It Fell Down is every bit as potent as its predecessors, delivering four more chunks of raw, analogue funk. The title track opens proceedings, working some choice disco loops hard in conjuction with raw and fuzzy production. "Come On" sounds like classic ghetto-techno recorded in a cement mixer (that's a good thing, by the way), while "Rescue Me" feels like Hieroglyphic Being making vintage boompty. Finally, "Sometimes They Come Back" delves deeper, placing distorted chords and acid-inspired electronics atop a delicious 808 electro groove.
