M Ono has been delivering occasional blasts of tech-tinged deep house since way back in 2010, via releases on such labels as 10th Circle and A Friend In Need. Here, he steps up to the big time, with a notable release on Detroit Swindle's Heist Recordings. Opener "Volle Schnauze" offers a near perfect fusion of jaunty electric piano riffs, swinging percussion, moody pads and a foreboding bassline, while the similarly loose and saucer eyed "Perle" is an altogether breezier affair. The picturesque "Delaware State Route" is almost Balearic in its' use of ear-pleasing melodies and touching, Motor City influenced electronics, while closer "Pegasus '83" boasts a little disco grunt amongst the acid-flecked electronics and old skool rave riffs.
