Vlad Arapasu's Kontent label is the latest in a long line of crews out of Romania to add their own spin on minimal tech house. After kicking things off with his own soon to sell out EP, the boss now enlists Macarie for three more killers. "Perry" is dark, synthetic, late night tech with plenty of kinetic energy stored up and ready to pass over into the crowd. The more playful "Low Paz" brings some colour and broken beat patterns as well as menacing acid to the mix, while "Papa Nicolau" is the most dark and haunting of the lot. A varied and vital EP overall, then.
