Canadian R&B duo Majid Jordan's self-titled debut album is five years old. It landed on Drake's Ovo Sound label and featured well known songs 'My Love' and 'Something About You' which exemplify their dark, insular, spacious sound. Vocalist Majid Al Maskati serves up all the heart aching hooks and rueful choruses while producer Jordan Ullma (with a little co-production help from Drake himself) lays down the stripped back sounds. Hip hop, R&B and neo-soul all colour the tunes and make this the sort of record you want to listen to on a late night drive. This special Record Store Day reissue comes on two slabs of transparent blue vinyl with a new insert.
