The Far Out crew revisit the Estatica album from"the original Beach Boy" Marcos Valle that they released back in 2010, tasking the dons like Theo Parrish and Daz I Kue to remix two modern classics from that set. And what of the results? It's modern dancefloor jazz fusion of the highest order Nick! Sound Signature boss Theo steps up to "1985", beatless in original form, and retains the central organ motif but twists it D style over some eight minutes of stuttering beatdown samba. It's a classy way to pay homage to Valle's work from Theo, and Daz I Kue does just as good a job flipside with his take on "Prefixio". If you've copped one of the Bugz man's Bloodfire works over the years you'll know he's a master and flipping jazz and funk cuts with his bruk beats and he does it again here. Stand up Far Out!
