|2.||"Medical Disco" (Red Axes remix)|
Kill The DJ improve Franco-Italian relations by inviting Margot Records founders Margot into the fold with the Magico Disco EP, with Ivan Smagghe having been introduced to the pair's "epic trance cheese-athon" of the title track via a James Holden DJ set. Daniel Valanti and Stefano Serafini have an individual and collective production vintage that shines through on this EP; Smagghe's aforementioned description of "Magico Disco" is pretty spot on as the track unfurls like an acid house update of Pat Cowley's iconic Donna Summer remix. Complemented naturally by some camp Teutonic titular vocal hooks! I'm A Cliche's Tel Aviv connect Red Axes add their own Italo flair on a fine accompanying remix and Margot's subsequent four productions rifle through the sort of dirgey wave sounds one expects of a Kill The DJ release.
