Discotexas come through with this excellent twelve from Portuguese producer par excellence Mirror People, which features a towering vocal turn from enduring UK singer Rowetta (whose voice has lined tracks by Happy Mondays, Playgroup and Inner City to name but three). "Feel The Need" is a dextrous modern disco number, ever so slightly camp with Rowetta matching Hard Ton in the diva stakes over a bumping, cowbell embellished beat and infectious bass line. There's a bounty of complimentary remixes to choose from with Moullineux, Munk, Social Disco Club and Horse Meat Disco's Severino all present on this clear red 12". It's the latter who perhaps reinterprets the original's strut and energy best with a sultry Italo reimagination.
