It's been ten years since Finnish duo Morphology first unveiled their particular brand of far-sighted electro. Like many electro veterans, they've enjoyed something of a career surge of late, helped in no small part by last year's fine "Traveller" album on B12 man Steven Rutter's FireScope label. Here, the Scandinavian duo makes their first appearance on the fast-rising Analogical Force label via a four-track EP bursting with high-grade dancefloor treats. While there's an obligatory dose of melodious deepness, even this spacey outing - the superb "Horta Eco" - comes underpinned by crunchy drums and booming bass. Elsewhere, "Karma Files" is stripped back, weighty and percussive, "Collective Memory" doffs a cap to early period Autechre, and "Leapfrog" sounds like a long lost missive from the Drexciya Lab.
