Hardware wrangler Craig Stainton has many costumes to don when it comes to making music, with releases issued under the Acid Phreex, Mantra, Monofonix, and Myriadd guises and he's also part of Nite Vision with fellow Yorkie Perseus Traxx. Time Will Tell sees Stainton returning for Creme duty as Myriadd for a second time, having graced TLR's label back in 2011 and the four tracks find him once again exploring the sounds of Chicago pioneers with a level of detail and passion that a lot of backwards looking producers could learn from. Twisted analogue business reminiscent of Lil Louis' paranoid classic "Blackout" is wedged deep into the title cut, hidden by some deft and sweat inducing rhythmic programming, and this interplay between tough drums and swirling textural elements is apparent as the 12" progresses. "Golden Section" might just be the best thing here though, thanks to those spine-tingling synths that almost drip with emotion.
