After serving up a couple of rather good, compilation-style EPs, Mindhelmet has decided to give Noiro - a producer whose '11 Reasons To' was a highlight of the label's first release - the chance to strut his stuff across a slab of wax. The sometime Chat Noir contributor has duly delivered, confidently moving between punchy, retro-futurist goodness (synth bass-propelled opener 'Now You Know'); smooth and bass-heavy late night slickness ('Seasoning'); chiming early morning warmth ('United'); chunky deep house positivity ('Cottage', which fixes late 80s synth-pop sounds and dream house flourishes to a killer bassline); squelchy and spacey fare ('Jacques Pervert') and hard-to-categorize deep electrofunk ('No Good For Me').
