Proof if ever it were needed that Romania is a hotbed of talent in the field of contemporary minimal techno, this new label Uvar showcases two promising talents with a strong catalogue behind them already. Nu Zau in particular has already scored releases on Archipel and Fear Of Flying, whilst Sepp has broken through this year for the likes of Anjdromeda. "Aprod De Rug" finds Nu Zau getting lost in a detailed tapestry of percussion that would get any fan of Ricardo Villalobos in a lather, never letting up on the cyclical pistons of found sounds that shape the groove. Sepp gets a touch housier with his "Sensul Epic", letting eerie strings fill in the space left by the sparse beat with an underlying tribal tone adding a healthy amount of tension.
