Under the now familiar Octo Octa alias, Brooklyn-based Maya Bouldry-Morrison has been one of the key artists in defining the 100% Silk sound. After three albums and a clutch of 12" singles for Amanda Brown's label, Octa Octa brings the breezy, feelgood take on vintage house to Gerd Janson's Running Back imprint. Those familiar with their style will find much to enjoy; from the chiming melodies, feelgood breakdowns and swinging drums of 'More Times', to the piano-driven revivalist Italian house rush of 'Fever Dream', and deliciously deep 'Take Me To The Dark'. Best of all, though, is 'Dresses', a thrillingly humid workout full of dreamy chords and pitched-down, rave-era breakbeats.
