Since 2011, Manchester's Oli Furness has been bashing out some seriously effective dance EPs, covering pretty much all corners of the house game, and that was surely the right way to go about landing a single for DJ Haus' mighty Unknown To The Unknown. Dance Trax Vol.6, as the title suggests, is the more effective, more beatdown corner of the label, and Furness fulfils this duty magnificently. The A-side, governed by three solid house-techno hybrids, calls all arses to the dancefloor, shining its fiery drums to and fro like a machine-gun spray; side B opens with a magnificent jungle reinterpretation of "Pitch Box" from DJ Swagger - this is on some early era Metalheadz tip! - which dives neatly into the hardcore-IDM re-visioning vision of "Tension" from Kreg Tanz. "Sacred Sex" closes off this fine-ass EP with a deep yet bouncy shade of pure house - marinated in analogue goodness, just how we like it!
