The new project of Cherry Ghost's Simon Aldred, Out Cold combines elements of 60s Motown and New York's more avant-garde disco with contemporary electronic styles; on this limited 12", the project gets remixed by three artists who all draw out a host of different moods from the Out Cold sound. The Invisible's remix of "Sorrow" is as lush as you'd expect, concentrating on the dark, spacious, orchestral elements of his sound. Ewan Peason elects to concentrate of disco and synthpop influences, to deliver a midtempo remix with crisp, clean sonics reminiscent of classic Metro Area, while Craig Bratley turns in a glittering Balearic-tinged version that will have everyone dewy-eyed for the days of 2008.
