In the autumn of 2016, Spanish buddies Rayko and James Rod released a trio of digital-only re-edit EPs under the title Classics of Arrikitaun. This EP gathers together four of the best-loved re-cuts from those download releases and presents them on vinyl for the first time. There's naturally much to admire, from the cosmic disco/nu-disco/psychedelic boogie fusion of Rayko's "Bamboo", and Rod's Love Unlimited Orchestra re-imagining "Groove of Midnight", to the subtly acid-flecked disco-rock strut of the same producer's "The Name of Love". Rayko's heavyweight Midnight Starr re-rub, "Headline", completes an excellent package.
