** REPRESS ALERT ** A Pal Joey classic originally released back in 1991 on his Cabaret imprint gets a much needed reissue here from the original masters. The New York City house pioneer's only recording under the Roots Foundation alias, it features vocalist Ola Salanke on three different mixes of "Aye-Le" (Rough World). While the Love mix is a zeitgeist of early '90s house with strong Afro influences, the Peace mix injects lovely polyrhythms to hypnotic effect while the Unity mix on the flip is more straight-ahead for effectiveness on the dancefloor.
