We've come accustomed to Let's Play House delivering EPs of brand new house music. Here, the Brooklyn imprint flips the script, instead serving up a pair of re-edits from two of the best in the business. On the A-side, label co-founder Jacques Renault joins forces with Marcos Cabral as Runaway for the first time in five years. Their contribution to the EP, "Don't Let Go", is a gently pulsating chunk of wide-eyed sunrise disco ecstasy; a mid-tempo shuffler full of loved-up vocals and rising orchestration underpinned by a druggy, Italo-disco style groove. Arguably even better is Soft Rocks' flipside re-edit, 'Slap My Stick", a tasty rearrangement of a P-funk era electro jam laden with ace slap bass and kaleidoscopic synth flourishes.
