Since 2010, Dresden label Uncanny Valley has been releasing various incarnations of deep house, techno, hip hop, and even pop-influenced music from a range of local artists like Jacob Korn, Cuthead, Break SL and CVBox. Uncanny Valley 20 celebrates reaching the 20 records released milestone by issuing a cross format compilation of new music from label regulars and associates. To match Paul Waak's oddball comic art, UV introduce Hamburg psy-trance duo Optokoppler with a "Sneaker 'My Puss' 7er remodel" to "Function", a track that sounds like a combination of Nina Kraviz and Mobilee, with a kooky Dresden touch. We can only assume that CV30X is CVBox, who provides a deeper house cut called "2x4", while there's an acid tickled and cowbell-ringing "Art of The Track" from a collaboration between German house producer RVDS and Chicago house mainstay K' Alexi Shelby (aka K-Alexi). But it's Credit 00's "Obsessed" with is cross pollinating vocal that will appease lovers of house, to cute indie and metal dance
