As Skalpel, Marcin Cichy and Igor Pudlo were long considered the most under rated act on the Ninja Tune roster with two sublime albums in the middle of the last decade and a slew of great 12"s. After a lengthy hiatus the Polish duo have re-emerged with a single that precedes Transit, a third album that's pencilled in for release later this year. Entitled Simple, this five track 12" is of course anything but simple with Cichy and Pudlo's effortless mastery of jazz and electronica fully on display. Skalpel fans will be spoilt for choice, with the tracks "On The Road" and "Simple (Version)" that close the A Side and open the B Side the two that have got most rotation in the Juno office.
