Shit On Me (remixes) vinyl

One of the more amusingly titled tracks on Third Side's debut album on Restoration last year, "Shit On Me" was a typically crunchy piece of breakbeat techno, which here finds itself getting the once over from a host of underground techno producers. First up is Virginia who collaborated on the original track, who takes things in a hypnotic direction with a gentle loop based arrangement, whilst Ra.H (aka Morphosis) turns in a sparse combination of metallic rhythmic abstractions and dubbed out bleeps. On the flip, Eerie boss Marco Shuttle turns in a Detroit inspired rework, keeping the broken rhythms of the original and giving it a stiff electro backbone and sci-fi textures; finally, Third Side's Lucretio and Marieu adopt their rarely used Xenogears moniker, upping the tempo but smoothing out the original's rougher edges.
