If you're not familiar with the EBM of 1980s Belgium, a sound born out of industrialised landscapes and seemingly determined to live in the shadows, with only fleeting specks of light piercing the thick and abrasive arrangements, then Vomita Negro probably won't mean a great deal. With this in mind any words on the latest album - actually a collection of near-forgotten work from the past - should probably start with a brief introduction.
The outfit formed back in 1983, and have built both a huge discography of menacing, darkroom, clenched-teeth tunes since then, along with a significant cult following and mythology. Sonic psychodramas abound, Entitled is certainly a case in point. Comprising tracks written during their formative years, never before released, it's an unsettling and visceral thing that proves wholly inescapable from the off.
