The ever reliable Yam Who? returns to the Demodisc imprint for some more heavily layered edit action for the discotheque. "Hi Steppin" will be familiar to any fans of The Love Walrus' musical career, a heavily orchestrated slice of crystalline disco which goes through several rounds of looped and phased momentum building from Yam Who? before being allowed to breathe in all its harmonious glory. The B Side counterpart "Come On & Do Me" proves to be even more impressive, driven along by a lolloping arpeggiated bassline and loose drums which are gradually joined by the main sultry vocal refrain and snaking synth work which reveal the source material.
