Review: Stay Current stalwart D Briggs pitches up on DJ Monchan's Dailysession Records for the very first time, bringing with him a melodious and positive trademark sound that should appeal to both nu-disco DJs and confirmed house heads. 'Dreamin', which he's presented in instrumental and vocal mix forms, is fundamentally a summery deep house record, but many of its cheery musical elements (bubbly synth sounds, happy-go-lucky melodies and a D-Train style bassline) are more often heard in retro-futurist boogie and proto-house inspired nu-disco records. Those who want a hazier deep house interpretation should check Cedar Sound Workshop's wonderfully warm flipside remix, while label boss Monchan's take is a spacey, two-step electro delight.

Review: Southern Italian producer Michele Sodano aka Kikko Esse returns on his Sound Departure imprint with the Vibrations EP, continuing his explorations into soulful house. On the A side, you've got the smooth late night house of 'Under Pandemic' powered by creamy Rhodes keys and sexy trumpet parts, followed by the evocative and near spiritual vibes of 'Baby You'. Over on the flip, 'Feelings' nails that timeless Chicago style reminiscent of Ron Trent - this one's absolutely life-affirming - and finally there's the sanguine sounding 'Recovering Soul' featuring an infectious panpipe melody throughout.

Review: Following up releases by the likes of Mark Seven, Florist and Cygnus, Ari Goldman's Washington D.C-based World Building returns with this awesome varioust artist compilation. Neighborhood Watch Volume One features a wide selection of moods and grooves: NativeSun vs JamesBangura get stuck into some dark dubstep on 'Demon Mode' much like The Khan does later on the deeply meditative 'Part Of Me (Ode To DC), while Sami gets their swing on with the classic house of 'Marty & Jack', Juana's tunneling 'It's Low' gives you a dose of heroin house and over on the flip Max D gets deep down and dirty on 'No Snare'.
