Zvex Effects Vibrophase Phaser Pedal (B-STOCK)
Cat: 976764 Rel: 01 Jan 90 • View all Effects pedals

B-STOCK: Box damaged, product in perfect working order
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box damaged, product in perfect working order***

A few years ago ZVEX Effects released the Candela Vibrophase, a candle-powered vibrato/phaser machined from solid brass and glass that used a mix of 1800s technology (a Sterling heat engine) and 60s/70s audio circuitry to create a lovely swirling effect. After numerous requests to put that sound into a guitar pedal, they came up with a way of dramatically broadening the spectrum of textures available using the original circuitry from the Candela.

It's presented to you here as the Vibrophase, a five-knob four-stage phaser that creates phase and vibrato nuances never heard before. Five knobs! Count 'em! Speed sweeps from maddeningly slow to puppy dog flippy, vibrato/phase sweeps from, erm, you'll figure that out, feedback sends the output back through the phaser again to raise intensity, and there are controls for the top end and bottom end of the sweep so you can completely tailor the sound to your song.

Zoom H5 Handy Recorder Four-Track Portable Recorder

Multitrack handy recorder with large backlit LCD display and 4-track simultaneous recording
Notes: Four tracks of simultaneous recording and interchangeable mic capsules make the H5 flexible and powerful enough to meet the evolving needs of today's creators.

The design of the XYH-5 mic capsule allows the H5 to handle up to 140dB SPL- equivalent to the sound of a jet aircraft from less than 200 feet away. And to keep your levels under control, the H5 offers compression limiting.

The H5's rubberized housing and shock-mounted microphones minimize vibration and handling noise, while a low-cut filter helps to eliminate wind noise and other kinds of low frequency rumble.

The H5 utilizes the same high-quality, low-noise preamps as Zoom's H6, ensuring great-sounding recordings in all sonic environments.

The Pre-Record function captures and saves two seconds before you hit Record- perfect for unexpected starts.

The Auto-Record function allows the H5 to automatically start and stop recording at predefined sound levels.

The H5's Backup-Record* function automatically records a duplicate set of L/R tracks with 12db less input gain. The audio safety net helps to protect your recordings.

*44.1 and 48kHz WAV files only.

Inputs and Outputs
Ins: The H5'sXLR/TRS combo inputs can handle both mic- and line-level signals for microphones, wireless receivers, mixers, keyboards and more. Each input has a dedicated gain control knob. The supplied XYH-5 capsule also provides an additional mic/line input via a 1/8" mini phone jack.
Outs: A Line Out with adjustable volume allows you to send audio from the H5 to the input of a camera or other device without the need for an attenuator cable. IN addition, there's a separate headphone output with a dedicated volume control. You can use both outputs simultaneously to route audio to your DSLE while monitoring with headphones.

Record continuously for over 15 hours with just 2 AA batteries or extend your recording time infinitely with the optional AD-17 AC adapter. The H5 can record up to six monophonic WAV files (or up to three stereo files) in any of the following formats: 44.1kHz/16-bit, 44.1kHz/24-bit, 48kHz/16-bit, 48kHz/24-bit, 96kHz/16-bit, 96kHz/24-bit.

Whether you're recording or streaming, the AMS-44 keeps your setup simple. It features four XLR/TRS combo inputs along with Zoom's high-performance, low-noise preamps. The interface also includes two headphone outputs and two TRS outputs for external monitors.

Quick control

With their onboard hardware switches, the AMS-24 and AMS-44 are designed to simplify common streaming challenges without the need for additional software.

Little switch, big Streams

When in Streaming mode all inputs are combined into one signal to work seamlessly with your streaming software.

Onboard monitoring

Use the Direct Monitor Switch to send the input signal directly to your headphones while routing the same signal to your DAW or streaming software.

Loop it back

The Loopback Switch combines the input audio with playback from your computer and routes it to your streaming software. This is perfect for adding background music to your stream or singing live with an instrumental track.

Mic/line guitar

Switch Input 1 from mic or line level to guitar level (Hi-Z).

Stereo link

Links two inputs for stereo recording or streaming and allows you to control both inputs with one gain knob.

Phantom power

Provides +48V phantom power for condenser microphones.

Power options

All three AMS interfaces can be powered from your PC or Mac via USB-C. Use external power when working from a tablet or mobile phone.

Additionally, the AMS-24 and AMS-44 can also use two AA batteries.

Zlob Modular Triple Cap Chaos Chaotic Oscillator & Audio Mangler Module Zlob Modular Triple Cap Chaos Chaotic Oscillator & Audio Mangler Module
Zlob Modular Triple Cap Chaos Chaotic Oscillator & Audio Mangler Module (chaotic oscillator & audio mangler synth module)
Cat: 793149 Rel: 10 Nov 20 • View all Synth modules

Analogue noise oscillator/audio mangler module
Notes: The Triple Cap Chaos(C^3 Chaos) is a 2hp analog, chaos based, noise oscillator, pseudo ring modulator/harmonics generator, and audio mangler Eurorack module available as a DIY Eurorack kit, PCB and Panel, or built.

It is a unique module, like the Diode Chaos, because it has never existed as a musical instrument until now. There is also no other module to my knowledge that can do exactly what the Triple Cap can do. The circuit(with several modifications) is based on the paper "Simple Autonomous Chaotic Circuits" by J.C. Sprott and Jessica R. Piper. As opposed to the Diode Chaos that generates control voltage this module focuses on the audio rate.

The "Emanate" potentiometer controls the coarser overall spectrum of the chaos, from lots of activity counter clock wise up to less chaos and more of a steady oscillation. The "Width, CV ATT" potentiometer can be thought of as more of a fine control for the chaos/oscillator. When something is inserted into the "CV" in the voltage normalization from the width knob is broken and the potentiometer now acts as an attenuator for the incoming cv. The Triple Cap is not a traditional volt per octave exponential VCO, and has a sort of narrow frequency range to exploit the chaotic behavior.

It expects a +5v to -5v max signal in to modulate the chaos. The "IN" jack is an A.C. coupled input for audio in, although cv and audio can work for both the "CV" in jack and "IN." The "IN" will interfere and interact with the onboard chaotic oscillator depending on the frequency of the input, which may take some experimentation. It can create ring mod ish sounds, to added harmonics, to almost bit crushed sounds depending on the "X" or "Y" output. The "X" output is a more windy noisy sinusoidal based output and the "Y" output is more squared off and aggressive, harsher sounding output.

Some quirks about the Triple Cap: The "X" output can offset negatively or positively a little bit depending on the pot settings, but both outputs tend to stay around 10vpp. With the "Emanate" and "Width" pots all the way up the typical frequency will be around 150hz although some will reach 200hz at this setting. With the "Emanate" pot full counter clock wise "Width" pot full clock wise the frequency will be around 250hz. It is possible to send signals into the triple cap that can bring it out of the desired range causing the oscillation to cut out.

The Triple Cap has a double sided panel. meaning one side has the classic graphics and the other is Soulless with less graphics.

Zlob Modular SVF 2-Pole 12DB State Variable Filter Module (2-pole 12DB state variable filter synth module)

State variable filter module
Notes: The SVF is a 4hp 2 pole 12dB State Variable Filter Eurorack Module available as a Eurorack DIY Kit, PCB and Panel, or Built Module.

It provides Low Pass, Band Pass, and High Pass outs inspired by WASP and Thomas Henry filter topologies. The filter has 2 audio inputs, but channel 2 is jumper selectable between standard audio in or Ping-able operation. The 2019 revision also adds improved cutoff and resonance response and attenuversion through the ACV IN using the above pot. CV IN provides another unattenuated voltage input to modulate the frequency.

At the CV in, +10v will open the filter completely if the cutoff pot is CCW(counter clockwise). With the cutoff knob at noon the filter can be opened with +5v or closed with -5v. CV input at the ACV in is dependent on the CV attenuverter knob.

There are also several jumper selectable modes for max resonance, self oscillation or no oscillation based on the setting of the resonance pot. According to the jumper configuration, the filter is capable of clinical and clean, to juicy and drippy, to low pass gate sounding plonks, to screaming chaotic resonance. When set to self oscillation mode, the filter can produce a sine like wave with no input and a trapezoid like wave in the max resonance jumper setting. In max resonance mode, the filter output can exceed 10Vpp. On the newest version, there is a trimmer on the top pcb to set the lowest cutoff frequency.

The new black and white pcb/panel is reversible meaning, one side is classic (first picture) and the other side is soulless (second picture).

Zlob Modular Foldiplier Odd/Even Harmonics Generator Module
Zlob Modular Foldiplier Odd/Even Harmonics Generator Module (frequency divider/waveshaper synth module)
Cat: 964623 Rel: 05 Oct 23 • View all Synth modules

Odd/even harmonics generator module with feedback - 4HP.
Notes: The Foldiplier is a 4hp odd/even harmonics generator with 2 different oscillating feedback paths. The folding core of the design originates from the odd harmonics (middle)section of the Serge Wave Multiplier. But the Foldiplier adds voltage control over the symmetry and offset as well as a switch for feedback, jumper selectable between, a transistor based oscillating fuzz inspired by the Hemmo Bazz Fuss with a lot more low harmonic content and a passive oscillating half wave rectification circuit with more high harmonic content. When these feedback oscillations mix with an incoming waveform some unpredictable and unique nonlinear timbres can be achieved. The module can also be used as a no-input experimental oscillator with the feedback switch engaged. All diodes in the module are silicon.

The Fold knob controls the amount of times the waveform is folded in on its self (indicated by the red led window below the knob). The C.V. knob below is an attenuator for incoming control voltage corresponding to the Fold jack(indicated by the red led window above the jack, it only responds to positive voltage). So, the Fold knob acts like an initial amount of folding depending on its position. For example, with the Fold knob fully clockwise you can get even more folds with a control voltage in at the Fold jack. The Offset knob controls how much positive DC voltage(0 to 5v, clockwise) or negative(0 to -5v counter clockwise) DC voltage(indicated by the led window above the Offset jack, red for positive, yellow for negative) injected into the waveform via the Symmetry knob. With the Offset knob position at noon(0v) there will little effect from the Symmetry knob. The Offset jack is expecting +5v to -5v with knob position at noon to scan through the positive and negative voltage. The Symmetry knob controls the amount of negative or positive offset voltage(dependent on the Offset knob) mixed with the waveform(indicated by the yellow led window above the Symmetry jack). If positive voltage is mixed with incoming waveform more folds will occur on the positive troughs of the waveform, likewise, when negative voltage is introduced more folds happen on the negative troughs. This part of the circuit can also be broken down by thinking of the Offset as a voltage controlled crossfader swinging between positive and negative voltages into a VCA controlled by the Symmetry knob and jack. When a voltage is present at the Symmetry jack the Symmetry knob becomes an attenuator. The Symmetry jack only responds to positive voltage.

expansion
Notes: The Entropy Expander is a 3hp Analog Random Voltage Generator that expands upon the features of the Entropy Euroack Module. Available as a Eurorack DIY Kit, PCB and Panel, or Built Module.

The Entropy+Expander packs together some of the most random voltage options in 6hp. It provides a controllable "Glide"(slew) out for the S/T\H, a comparator with a controllable rate("Thrsh") of random gates("Rand Gate") out with an input to compare other waveforms(Comp In, inserting a cable into here breaks the white noise normalization), and high pass filtered white noise resulting in approximate "Blue noise" (+3db/octave) and "Violet noise"(+6db/octave) outs.

The unique part of the circuit is a voltage controlled A/B switch thats normalled to the "Rand Gate" out that's switching between the S/T\H out(left Blue led window)and Infra out(right Red led window), the Glide control also effects the S/T\H coming out of the switch so you can get really random results from the "Entropy Out." Inserting a cable into "Switch CV In" breaks the random gate normalization and lets you toggle between A/B(left S/T\H out and right Infra out, indicated by the led windows) with your own gate or trigger.

There is a jumper on the pcb to select if you want glide on the s/t\h at, Entropy out, or un-slewed operation. There is also a trimmer for setting the amplitude of the incoming signal at "Comp In" which sets the frequency range of random gates. This may have to be adjusted depending on your Entropy version.

The random gate range can also be set up more as a noise oscillator by turning the pcb trim(clockwise) up or it can be set so random gates are extremely slow(trim counter clockwise) with minutes between random gates.

Zlob Modular Diode Chaos Chaotic Voltage Generator Module
Zlob Modular Diode Chaos Chaotic Voltage Generator Module (chaotic voltage generator synth module)
Cat: 793141 Rel: 10 Nov 20 • View all Synth modules

Voltage generator module
Notes: Diode Chaos is a 3hp analog chaotic low frequency voltage generator Eurorack Module available as Eurorack DIY Kit, PCB and Panel, or Built Module.

It is a unique module because it has never existed as an electronic music instrument until now. The module is based on a circuit from a paper called "A simple chaotic circuit with a light-emitting diode" written by Volos, Wang, Jafari, and Kapitaniak.

Diode Chaos produces 3 phases of interrelated morphing voltages including a chaotic trigger out. The range is 20-30 seconds a cycle up to audio rate, although only the X out and TRIG out go up to audio rate. The frequency is controlled by the RATE knob. Each output exhibits different behavior at different rate settings. X,Y, and Z outs like to stay in the 4vpp range although at different RATE settings the outs can reach 10vpp. The TRIG out chaotically releases 0-10v triggers although sometimes it will spit out smaller voltage peaks.

LED soldermask windows provide constant display of positive and negative voltage crossings.

Differences between chaos and random(some quoted and summarized material from Ian Fritz's site):

Chaos is "highly irregular, but still contained within a finite region (the "strange attractor")"

Chaos occurs in 3 dimensions.

Chaos needs a non-linear element (with Diode Chaos the nonlinear element is a red LED, and the chaos is directly visible and useable at the TRIG out).

Electric combo organ: Fat and punchy additive synthesis
Notes: Legendary sound meets the generation of mobile musicians: With the reface Mobile Mini Keyboards, Yamaha introduces a small revolution. Based on legendary synthesizer models like the DX7 or CS series, the company presents four compact instruments, which play to their strengths on the road, on stage or even in the studio. reface is perfect for songwriters, sound designers, live performers and those looking for access to an instrument which allows them to react when inspiration strikes. The online collaboration with musicians around the globe via Yamaha's 'Soundmondo' sound community and the easy connection to notebook, Apple iPhone and iPad are making the four models ideal for being creative together. Battery power and integrated stereo-speakers make the reface quartet ready to play at all times.

From Pink Floyd to Michael Jackson to U2 - with over 40 years in synthesizer history, Yamaha influenced Rock and Pop music like no other instrument manufacturer. Legendary models and series like the CS Control Synthesizer or the DX7 are an inherent part of music history. Time for a small revolution: With the reface Mobile Mini Keyboards, Yamaha presents a range of ultra-mobile synthesizers and a stage-piano that impress with their compact design and web-based sound-exchange. They build the bridge between the sound tradition of the legendary prime fathers and the cooperative music production over the internet.

It started as a sketch of a young Yamaha design team: Under the concept name "reimagined interfaces of classic Yamaha keyboards" the group presented a series of four compact instruments, in which every single one celebrates the personality of a legendary Yamaha instrument - but with a character of its own reimagined for today's 'on-the-go life style'. The concept also integrates a web-based sound exchange between musicians and allows a cooperative sound design. With the introduction of reface, this vision becomes reality.

At home, in a studio, in a park or on a train - the compact design and the powerful integrated stereo speakers allow inspiration in seconds - without any equipment to set up. Creativity can be realised anywhere: Thanks to the battery power, all reface Mobile Mini Keyboards are ready at any time - even when there is no power socket nearby. The setup is done in seconds, even the connection to notebook, iPhone or iPad for the recording and saving of sounds.

All four reface models are presenting themselves as a creative toy for sound design. But despite their compact design, they are professional instruments that are inviting to play. All models feature Yamaha's brand new 'HQ' Mini-Action keyboard with 37 keys (3 octaves). The user interfaces were designed separately for each instrument introducing features such as drawbars for the reface YC organ and the capacitive Multi-Touch surface on the reface DX.

reface YC: Electric Combo Organ - Rich, punchy sounds are its area of expertise: The reface YC offers additive synthesis paired with a unique power of expression using nine drawbars and virtual rotary speakers. The instrument combines five different models of organs, the sound is created using a special "Organ Flutes Tone Generator". In addition to the possibility to carry around five organs in a single piece of hardware without breaking your back, the reface YC delivers the authentic spirit of playing an organ using the smallest user interface possible.

All four reface models offer a rich potential for creative sound design - and the opportunity to get in touch with the whole world: With Soundmondo, Yamaha created an online hub connecting the reface community all over the globe. Soundmondo offers creative possibilities to create, share and discover sounds. The connection is established intuitively using a special Web MIDI technology for Google Chrome. As soon as a reface model is plugged in, it offers the possibility of direct synchronisation. Voices and set lists can be stored in a private area as well as shared with the community.

Quick and easy storage as well as management of sounds with iPhone and iPad: The free reface iOS app for Apple mobile devices makes data transfer extremely simple. A name, a picture and multiple tags can be applied to stored voices; they can be sorted in different ways as well. Search functionality is also included. Using a set list, voices can be arranged in a specific order and recalled one after the other. Another impressive feature is the possibility to exchange voices using QR codes: A distinctive code can be generated from any stored voice and can then be shared using the different options available with iOS. It can for example be sent via email or read using the camera of another iPad to import it into the app.

Compact powered reference monitors
Notes: Updated version of the hugely popular MSP3, now with Yamaha's Twisted Flare Port technology for improved low-end response. Small design with big sound thanks to 4-inch woofer and precise dome tweeter.

Supplier's Notes:
MSP3A powered monitor speaker provides faithful sound reproduction in a compact form

The MSP3, a compact reference monitor speaker loved for many years, has been renewed as the MSP3A. This new reference monitor is the first in this series to include our Twisted Flare Port technology and provides an even clearer and tighter low-end while also realizing faithful sound reproduction.

The built-in 22W power amplifier is optimized for the speaker unit, which comprises a 10 cm (4") woofer and a 2.2 cm (.87") tweeter, to achieve a clear and natural reference sound.

The cabinet features a refined, simple design and weighs a mere 3.6 kilograms (7.9 pounds), making it easy to reposition and carry to different locations. Just like its predecessor, this monitor has multiple input connectors and controls, and is compatible with a variety of optional brackets, making it useful for a wide range of uses. These include serious audio and music monitoring in settings from small-scale studios to broadcast and post-production suites, as well as monitoring audio from digital musical instruments and ICT devices, and surround sound playback.

Twisted Flare Port technology, which is included in the MSP3A for the first time in this series, is an aerodynamic sound control technology that we at Yamaha have created by leveraging our extensive subwoofer development experience. Using it, we apply aerodynamic sound analysis and flow visualization measurement technologies to pinpoint and control noise generation mechanisms. Noise-generating air flow turbulence at both ends of the port is suppressed by changing how the port widens from input to output and adding a twist to it. Suppressing turbulence reduces bothersome muddiness in the sound and lowers the amount of noise generated at the port ends. This strengthens the connection between the sound and main speaker and delivers clear, tight low frequencies along with pitch and rhythm.

Compared to the air turbulence generated by the "ordinary port" shown in pink on the left, turbulence is reduced and air flows smoothly through the Twisted Flare Port shown in blue on the right.

Featuring a 22-watt built-in amplifier and Twisted Flare Port for clearer bass, the MSP3A reference monitor produces sound that is faithful to the original. With a variety of inputs, controls and optional support brackets, the MSP3A is ideal for small studios, post-production, monitoring electronic instruments and surround reproduction.

For more than a century, Yamaha has been building a legacy of superior craftsmanship and innovation exemplified in all of our products, from an unrivalled catalog of world-class musical instruments to touring-grade professional audio. D-PRE (Discrete Class-A Mic Preamps): This is where it all starts. Everything you do as a sound engineer is dependent on the quality of your preamps, which determines the direction your mix will take, and ultimately how good it is going to sound. MG Series mixing consoles feature Yamaha's studio-grade discrete class-A D-PRE preamps, which utilize an inverted Darlington circuit comprising two cascading transistors in a configuration that provides more power with lower impedance. Delivering fat, natural sounding bass and smooth, soaring highs, with very low distortion, D-PRE preamps possess an impressively wide frequency range that allow them to handle signal from any audio source without overly amplifying any specific elements of the sound. Having such a pure sonic platform to build on will ultimately save you time and effort by eliminating the need for excessive EQing or additional effects processing in order to "fix" your mix.

High Quality Sound Op-amp: The head amp determines sound quality, and op-amp integrated circuits are one of the most important parts in the head amp circuit. MG Series mixers feature new, high-quality, custommade MG01 op-amps that we developed in cooperation with the semiconductor manufacturer. Although many other Op-amps prioritize electrical design and efficiency, we worked directly with the semiconductor manufacturer to focus on sound quality first. MG01 op-amps feature redesigned circuitry in which even the internal components and wiring have been optimized, and use materials such as high-quality silicon wafers and copper wire to achieve superb resolution.

Switchable Phantom Power & PAD Switch: With phantom power, MG Series consoles allow you to take full advantage of the greater frequency response and high sound quality of condenser microphones. The input channel with PAD switch accepts MIC to line level of inputs, PAD Switch attenuates high input signals that often accompany mic'ed instruments during performance, avoiding the clippingthat can seriously affect your mix.

When was the last time you heard guitar without EQ or a completely unprocessed vocal on one of your favorite songs? Probably never. Yamaha mixers are famous for their flat response and sonic purity, but it often takes more than a perfectly-captured instrumental performance or vocal to achieve a professional-sounding mix. Equipped with some of the same state-of-the-art functionality featured on Yamaha's high-end consoles, the MG Series gives you the tools you need to produce high quality sound that is uniquely your own.

Yamaha has always strived to provide sound engineers with the purest possible signal instead of added processing or color to give it a "signature" sound, and the MG Series is no exception. Embracing this philosophy of transparent sound, these mixing consoles deliver a level of sonic purity and sound quality that is unmatched in their class.

6 channel mixing console with D-PRE mic preamps and an inverted Darlington circuit
Notes: The Yamaha MG Series of mixers feature a design and construction that will handle the standard wear and tear of the active musician. Featuring the steel chassis that is impact resistant and powder coated, this mixer will take any bumps and scratches without it getting damaged or looking old. The sleek design does not compromise any part of the finished product.

A state of the art design allows for convection cooling, meaning your power unit will not overheat your unit after continuous use. Separating the power supply from the analog circuitry inside the mixer allows for near silent background noise, allowing for a serious and high quality output sound. As well as this, the knob placement has been put above the chassis of the console, thus not damaging circuitry underneath should the device ever be dropped or mishandled.

The MG06 includes a number of features that make it stand out above the rest of compact mixers on the market. It has phantom power on the first two channel's class A preamps for any condenser microphones as well as a mono/stereo select button for instant control and flexibility. These two channels also include a 2 band EQ and a high pass filter, allowing a lot of frequency control on such a small mixer.

As well as this, two stereo channels for jack devices make up channels 3 through to 6. Outputs are aplenty on the MG06, featuring stereo jack and XLR outputs, as well as a phones output for monitoring purposes.

The Yamaha HS7 employ a new, highly efficient tweeter providing an extended high frequency range up to 30KHz. The matching HS8S 150W powered subwoofer provides an extend bass when a well defined bottom end is required.

A low resonance enclosure built using a three way mitre joint technique ensures that the corners of the speaker are firmly anchored leading to dramatically improved durability and the elimination of unwanted resonances that can colour the original sound. Yamaha's 'Vortex Sound Control' technology is deployed to decrease unwanted airflows around the speaker ports. This in turn reduces audible noise by up to 6dB.

Studio monitors
Notes: In the 15 years since they were introduced, the HS Series powered studio monitors have become a favourite in professional, project and home studio environments.
The new special edition HS5 MP Set includes two HS5 monitors, both manufactured using a unique process and both utilising specially selected parts. The result is a pair of monitors, each as closely matched to one another as is possible.

2-way bass-reflex bi-amplified nearfield studio monitor with 5" cone woofer and 1" dome tweeter
54Hz - 30kHz (-10dB), 74Hz - 24kHz (-3dB) frequency response
45W LF plus 25W HF bi-amp system for high-performance 70W power amplification
ROOM CONTROL and HIGH TRIM response controls
XLR and TRS phone jack inputs accept balanced or unbalanced signals

The HS Series embodies the design philosophy on which Yamaha has long insisted for its studio monitors, and is now available as a special paired model that uses selected volume parts. The paired model series bears the designation of MP (Matched Pair), and MP stickers are affixed to the back of each unit. Manufactured at the same time and with paired serial numbers, the HS MP models can play a valued role in your recording, mixing, and mastering work.

Yamaha Pro Audio's history of aspiration and innovation goes back to 1969. Since the creation of Yamaha's first pro audio products (the VA120 and VA180 vocal amp systems), they've repeatedly aspired and innovated to create a wide-ranging lineup for applications including broadcast studios and commercial spaces, such as mixing consoles, power amplifiers, speakers, processors, and immersive sound solutions, each with the aim of becoming the new standard in their respective market.

Monitor speakers are one of the product areas that must be mentioned when speaking of Yamaha Pro Audio's fifty-year history. The NS10M STUDIO which went on sale in 1977 was a studio monitor speaker loved by numerous engineers, and earned a role in studios around the world. In 1998 came the MSP5 powered monitor speaker which focused on providing the painstakingly faithful playback of the original sound that is demanded from nearfield monitors. Subsequently, the MSP/MSP STUDIO series that appeared during the period 2000 through 2008 benefited from a full measure of the know-how and technology that has been accumulated in the field of pro studio monitor design, going on sale as a flagship model that boasted a stunning degree of perfection.

Yamaha have insisted on complete fidelity to the original sound and the ability to reproduce the subtle changes of tone and position in the mix, and these principles are exemplified in the HS series that appeared in 2005 with its bright white cones. As high-bit and high-sampling-rate continue as trends in the field of music production, leading to an increasing need for high-quality nearfield monitors, these speakers deliver the high-quality sound and accuracy that are ideal for the studio environment. In 2013, fusing the know-how and cutting-edge analysis technology that has been developed through many years of studio monitor design, and carefully rethinking every element, the next-generation HS series have been announced, adds yet more polish to the accuracy of these speakers.

Bass reflex nearfield studio monitor with 5" cone woofer and 1" dome tweeter
Notes: The babies of the Yamaha HS range pack a bigger punch than their size might suggest. A good entry-level option for smaller studios. Clear, revealing monitors at a friendly price.

Supplier's notes:
The Yamaha HS5 is a new addition to Yamaha's HS series of active monitors, influenced by the critically acclaimed and highly sought after NS-10 studio monitor speakers.

The Yamaha HS5 Active Studio Monitor features biamped full range 2 way speakers rated at 45W and 25W and has been developed by Yamaha to offer an exceptionally flat and accurate frequency response for use in music production and composition as well as home project studios. The HS5 monitors' design has been informed by the tradition of the legendary NS10M monitors.

Yamaha HS5 speakers feature a low resonance bass reflex enclosure which improves the rigidity of the overall speaker, and less cabinet resonance means that the signal remains clear and uncoloured. This is very important in getting an accurate mix which translates across all systems.

Port noise has also been audibly reduced by up to 6dB using the new Yamaha proprietary technology in the HS5 studio monitors, which also helps to deliver a clean and precise signal. The HS5 is equipped with XLR and TRS jack connectors as well as room control and hi trim response controls.

Pair of 2-Way powered studio monitor speakers
Notes: Tiny but powerful studio monitors from Yamaha's hugely popular HS range. Impressive bass response all the way down to 60 Hz despite their compact dimensions. Here in their white colourway.

Supplier's Notes:
High-quality compact studio monitors for the uncompromising creator

HS Series speakers have become the standard in studio monitors, trusted for many years by the world's top audio engineers, producers, and artists. Now Yamaha has redefined their essence in a compact housing. The HS3 and HS4 are powerful tools to help create a wide range of audio content-from music production to video editing-that meets the expectations of creators who have limited space and need to keep the volume down but do not want to compromise on monitoring quality.

Sound that is always true to the original

The HS3 and HS4 continue the design philosophy and know-how of previous Yamaha studio monitors. No effort has been spared in the pursuit of the optimal product, and the resulting speakers comprise carefully selecting parts such as a high-performance class-D amp, a highly resilient MDF cabinet, and woofers and soft dome tweeters that deliver a sound that is faithful to the source despite their small size. They also feature proprietary "Twisted Flare Port" technology that reduces air turbulence noise in the bass reflex port, providing clear and accurate bass. That's the secret to why the HS3 and HS4 deliver outstanding resolution, sound image, and depth, with a flat response across all bandwidths without any colouring of the original sound.

Optimal sound tailored to your environment

The sound produced by speakers is sometimes affected by the surrounding environment.

The rear panels of the HS3 and HS4 are equipped with ROOM CONTROL and HIGH TRIM functions that allow you to make adjustments to achieve the ideal sound for any environment, such as reducing the unneeded, exaggerated low-end that can often occur when speakers are placed next to walls.

Inputs and controls to fit any use case

The rear panel of the HS3 and HS4 is equipped with combination XLR/TRS phone, RCA, and stereo mini connectors, allowing you to connect to a wide range of professional and consumer equipment such as computers, audio interfaces, audio mixers, and electric instruments. The most commonly used features-power button, volume knob, and headphone connector-are located in the front for easy access.

Compact and portable

The compact size of the HS3 and HS4 was made possible thanks to the highly efficient class-D amp. Using one amp for two speakers has enabled us to both reduce the weight of the speakers and simplify the cable connections. They take up little space even in a small bedroom studio, and are easy to take with you on the road.

The AG01 combines a high-quality condenser microphone with DSP effects, a LOOPBACK function, flexible input connectivity, and a mixer for stress-free streaming operation.
Notes: Configuring a streaming setup from scratch can be a daunting task, particularly for users with little or no music production experience. The minimalist design of the AG01 takes this into account by combining a high-quality condenser microphone with DSP effects, a LOOPBACK function, flexible input connectivity, and a simple, intuitive mixer for stress-free streaming operation.

Simply connect to your computer or iOS/Android device along with the headphones of your choice, then set your levels and you've got a fully operational streaming station that can be up and running within minutes. If you're an aspiring live streamer that requires a compact yet comprehensive, high quality all-in-one solution, the AG01 is ready when you are.

In most streaming applications your microphone is likely to feature prominently onscreen so it is important for it to complement your overall vision. With a unique and iconic design that blends classic and contemporary aesthetics, the AG01 looks as good as it sounds, offering both black and white-based models to suit your preference.

In addition to the condenser microphone audio input, the AG01 is equipped with a mini stereo line input jack, and an upgraded 4-pole mini jack (TRRS) for smartphones that allows input and output. You can also add audio from devices connected via USB in LOOPBACK mode. Combined with these features, this microphone-type model can cover a wide variety of streaming styles that could not be achieved in the past without a separate mixing device.

The AG01's high-performance condenser microphone utilizes a cardioid polar pattern that captures your voice or musical instrument performance precisely, and converts it into high resolution audio (192kHz, 24bit) while blocking out unwanted ambient noise from the rear or sides.

The AG01 features high-quality DSP effects, allowing you to easily add COMP/EQ and REVERB to color and hone your audio and get the best sound possible to broadcast to your audience. What's more, these tools are processed by the internal DSP chip so there is no delay, making the AG01 particularly valuable for live streaming, when real-time accuracy is required.

You can also turn these effects off completely to capture pure, raw recordings of the AG01's condenser microphone for music/audio production that will be edited by an engineer later.

There are many situations in live streaming where you may need to make audio adjustments on the fly. The carefully configured physical controls of the AG01 respond to these needs providing a simple operating experience that won't detract from your live content or performances.

AG Controller offers two modes, "Simple" and "Detail," which allow users with varying degrees of audio engineering experience to easily and precisely check and adjust the AG's DSP processing from any Windows/Mac or iOS device connected via USB.

The AG01 can be easily placed on a desk or any flat surface with its dedicated stand, or mounted on a desk arm, making it adaptable to almost any environment.

It can also be used in combination with a mobile battery allowing you to take your fully functioning streaming station anywhere you like.

*For stable operation of the AG01, a power supply of DC 5V 900mA or more is required.

AG01 comes bundled with Cubase AI music production software, as well as WaveLab Cast for audio production and editing. The AG01 is also compatible with Rec'n'Share and Cubasis LE applications for iOS devices which are available free of charge from Yamaha and Steinberg to support and inspire your audio content creation.

Configuring a streaming setup from scratch can be a daunting task, particularly for users with little or no music production experience.
