Notes: Two channel USB module.

Standard Mode - Send two channels into your USB device and receive two channels from USB.

Insert Mode - Send two channels to your USB device and get a copy of the sent signal in the outputs.

Toggle between the modes via a pair of jumpers on the back. The USB-B to USB-A cable is provided with the module. Why use the cutting edge USB-B? I felt the jacks were way more sturdy than mounting USB-C jacks vertically.

Mixer section

Channel 1 and Channel 2 are three channel mixers with potentiometers to control level of three different inputs for each channel. Each channel then has a potentiometer to control panning as well as CV control for panning and level control

Panning and VCA

The VC panners are equal loudness panning and the VCAs for each channel are linear response.

Built-in LFO

There is a built-in LFO that is normalled to the panning CV input of each channel. CH1 gets the standard LFO and CH2 gets an inverse, enabling alternating channel panning. The default is to use a TRI wave for the LFO, but there is a jumper on the back to switch it to SQU.

Yes, the Stereo Offset boasts not one but TWO linked offset voltages, and even better, they can be independently set as unipolar or bipolar with jumpers on the back of the module. To further aid your adventure in offsetting, bicolor LEDs will indicate the current state of both outputs.

Notes: Drawing inspiration from the MMI Maxima, the MMI Helios is intended as a middle ground between the gestural control surface of the Maxima and the fingertip control of the smaller MMI.

Less density, but a much higher degree of patch control is the key point of the Helios, which complements other MMI devices very well, and can be joined with other Helios (Helii?) to form larger and creative control surfaces.

Notes: An ART wavetable dual oscillator mono voice source that can be used to build polyphonic patches and multi voice patches. It generates its harmonically rich sound using two 80s vintage D/A converters to feed your filters and effect processors. VORTEX comes loaded with dozens of wavetables, plus additional user wavetables can be loaded from the front panel SD card. Notes: TRS Split - CV/Audio signal distributor

TRS Split is a multipurpose CV and audio signal distribution module. It has three 3.5 mm TRS (tip/ring/sleeve - stereo) jacks and six ordinary 3.5 mm mono jacks.

It contains 3 identical sections set up as following:

Upper jack carries the tip signal
Middle jack carries the stereo/dual signal
Lower jack carries the ring signal

Each section can either split a stereo signal into two mono signals or join two mono signals into one stereo signal. The module does not have any active components and does not need a power supply.

Use cases:

When you plug a stereo signal carried by a stereo (TRS) cable into the middle jack, you receive two separate mono signals by plugging in a mono (TS) cable in the upper jack to carry the left signal and a mono (TS) cable in the lower jack to carry the right signal. That way you can attack an "AUX" cable such as from your smartphone to your modular.

Or the other way around: Send two separate mono signals by plugging in a mono (TS) cable in the upper jack to carry the left signal and a mono (TS) cable in the lower jack to carry the right signal. Receive a stereo signal at the middle jack to be used with a stereo (TRS) cable.

Converting from stereo to dual mono and back allows you to alter the two sides of a stereo signal with different effects/filters.

Some tuners such as the Korg NTS-2 accept inputs to tune two oscillators combined in one 3.5 mm stereo jack. With one splitter you can easily feed two VCO signals into such a tuner.

Switching sides

Two splitters can be used to switch tip and ring (left and right): Plug in a stereo cable in the middle jack of the first section. Connect mono cables to the upper and lower jack of the first section. Then connect the upper mono cable of the first section to the lower mono jack of the second section and the lower mono cable of the first section to the upper mono jack of the second section. The signals are switched. Plug a stereo cable in the middle of the second splitter and you're good to go.

Hint: This also works for MIDI signals. If you use MIDI over minijack, there are two standards A and B - some manufacturers use A some B - thus not all connections are working. Now you can easily switch between the standards using the TRS Split.

Note: The MIDI input of the DROID X7 automatically detects A and B, so there is no switching necessary. The MIDI output of the X7 can be set to A or B with a switch on the back of the module.

Stereo multiple setup

If you have a separate multiple in your modular, you can use the TRS-SPLIT to create a 1:2 stereo multiple as follows:

Plug a stereo cable in the middle jack of section 1, patch the mono cable from the upper jack into section 1 of your multiple (e.g. a 3/3/3 multiple) and feed two of the outputs back into the upper jacks of section 2 and 3. Do the same with the mono cable coming from the lower jack of section 1 going into the second section of a 3/3/3 multiple and patch two cables back into the lower jacks of section 2 and 3 of the TRS Split. Now the middle jacks of section 2 and 3 both carry the stereo signal.

Notes: TRS Tool - Stereo/Dual CV/Audio/MIDI signal multipurpose module

TRS Tool is a multipurpose CV and audio signal distribution module for working with 3.5 mm stereo jacks (tip/ring/sleeve). These jacks are common for stereo audio but also for MIDI.

The TRS TOOL has no active components and does not need a power supply. It contains 3 different sections set up as following from top to bottom:

TRS Split
The upper jack carries the tip signal
The middle jack carries the stereo/dual signal
The Lower jack carries the ring signal

Use cases:

When you plug a stereo signal carried by a stereo (TRS) cable into the middle jack, you receive two separate mono signals by plugging in a mono (TS) cable in the upper jack to carry the left signal and a mono (TS) cable in the lower jack to carry the right signal. That way you can attack an "AUX" cable such as from your smartphone to your modular.

Or the other way around: Send two separate mono signals by plugging in a mono (TS) cable in the upper jack to carry the left signal and a mono (TS) cable in the lower jack to carry the right signal. Receive a stereo signal at the middle jack to be used with a stereo (TRS) cable.

Converting from stereo to dual mono and back allows you to alter the two sides of a stereo signal with different effects/filters.

Some tuners such as the Korg NTS-2 accept inputs to tune two oscillators combined in one 3.5 mm stereo jack. With one splitter you can easily feed two VCO signals into such a tuner.

TRS Quad Multiple

Multiply a stereo signal. Four TRS jacks to be used with stereo minijack cables.

Use cases:

You could use this to multiply the signal for headphones - listen to patches together.

Or create sends - route one (or two) stereo signals to effects and use the third one as dry signal going to the mixer.

Experimental: multiply a MIDI signal to two or three receivers: NOTE: depending on the output power of the MIDI sender and the power draw of the MIDI receivers this might or might not work. MIDI uses a current of typically 5 mA instead of voltage levels for data transmission. So when you attach too many devices to one output the current might not be enough to drive all of them. So this is strictly spoken not covered by the MIDI standard, but might work anyway.

A/B Swapper
The bottom section of the module consists of two connected TRS jacks.
Whatever signal applies to the tip in jack A will be routed to the ring in jack B.
Whatever signal applies to the ring in jack A will be routed to the tip in jack B.

Use cases:

Switch the left and right side of a stereo audio signal.

Switch between MIDI standard A and B: If you use MIDI over minijack, there's two standards A and B - some manufacturers use A some B - thus not all connections are working. Now you can easily switch between the standards using the TRS Split.

Note: The MIDI input of the DROID X7 automatically detects A and B, so there is no switching necessary. The MIDI output of the X7 can be set to A or B with a switch on the back of the module.

Notes: CONTROL PATH is an all in one voice dynamics module that helps build full voices quickly. It contains two analogue envelopes with velocity cv, and one VCA. In a typical voice patch the left envelope will control a filter and the right envelope will be the voice VCA. Velocity control is provided for each envelope and delay front panel trimmers are used to compensate for any miss match between incoming gate signal and velocity CV timings. Sinc Legio is a simple oscillator with some tricks up its proverbial sleeve. Notes: This is a self contained analogue high hat module. This is a Transistor based VCA design. It is influenced by the DR110 drum machine. The original circuit used 4 oscillators to make the metallic audio sound. I added the original 4 oscillator, and an extra 6 oscillator circuit. The 6 oscillator version is doing a double XOR ringmod (internally). You select that by switch.

The 4 oscillator design sounds more crunchy, where as the 6 XOR circuit sounds more polished with sheen. You can blend in the amount of white noise in the mix labeled 'sizzle'.

Internally, the audio is passing through a few high pass filters, making the output sound very high in frequencies.

The module by itself is not exciting. But in the mix, with other percussion modules, this is your favorite-go-to module. It sits almost perfect in the mix.

There are two triggers. One is for 'Open' sound. The other is for 'close' sound. Both open and close have there own decay knob to adjust the length of the audio tail.

There is a tone control, labeled LPF. Use this to taper off some of the high frequencies.

Instead of adding an 'accent' control. Both triggers have been made to voltage variable. 5V triggering is the normal expected input. So a 3V trigger will sound softer in volume. 10V trigger signals will sound louder.

This module is as simple as it gets, just patch your Arturia Beat Step Pro and use the drum track.

Notes: The module was named Kuzmin Filter in the past as a tribute to the developer of the Polivoks, Vladimir Kuzmin. For certain reasons, the module will now be called GRUNGE Filter (due to the sound), with the circuitry remaining unchanged.

The Polivoks was a Russian synth that was produced between 1982 and 1990.This module is the AE version of the filter that gave the Polivoks a unique, rough sound.

Beyond the basic design, this filter offers some additional features:

Two different resonance characteristics, hard and soft
An FM function, that adds the input signal to the modulation of the filter
An optional overdrive for the output, making the sound even more rough and untamed.

The SPRINGREVERB module brings the unique sound of this quite old (introduced in the 60's) technique for creating reverbs to the AE modular.

The reverb works by sending the audio signal to a set of 3 springs; at the other end of the springs the sound is picked up by a transducer, converting the mechanical movement of the springs back into an electrical signal. When the audio signal arrives at the end of the springs, the waves are reflected several times; these reflections create the reverb sound.

The spring "tank" (a metal box containing the springs and transducers, size approx. 24 x 9 x 3.5 cm) is connected externally by a cable.

The product contains all components: The module itself, the spring tank and the connection cable.

Note: The sound of a spring reverb is quite unique and has a strong vintage character; if you are looking for a more "clean", natural sounding reverb please take a look at the MULTIFX module.

SkipLog is a 3-channel rhythmic probability processor designed for inventive rhythmic exploration in modular setups. Introduce unpredictable rhythmic possibilitis to your creative flow.
SkipLog's basic operation is simple: when a trigger or gate is received at one of its three channels' inputs, the same channel’s Probability knob allows you to control the likelihood of these triggers or gates reaching the output. This inputs are internally connected .

SkipLog continuously captures the binary outcomes of its use, storing them for potential sequences. Activate the Loop function to break from pattern creation and loop the recorded sequences. Expander module for the Tetrapad, Intellijel's multi-dimensional performance touch controller. Adds huge functionality, allowing you to sequence parameters and create complex modulation.

Some of the key features:

Three primary modes: VOLTAGES, NOTES and COMBO.

VOLTAGES mode:

Up to 16 voltage storage locations (grid) with 8 voltages stored at each location.

You have the choice to record and playback your recall of these locations in a looper style (just play freely and spend arbitrary amount of time at any location) or as a clocked sequence (SH-101 style). Additionally you can traverse the matrix using the X and Y CV inputs to get Cartesian style sequencing.

There is also variable slew that allows you to morph/glide between the values.

NOTES mode:

You can create sequences or loops in chord, scales or keyboard mode. The isomorphic keyboard grid can vary from 4 notes to 12 notes max. There are real-time performance looping, transposition and inversion capabilities via the CV inputs and dedicated loop button. In sequencer mode each step can be a tie, rest, or gate with size 25/50/75%. Basically we have created a way to very quickly and intuitively make chord sequences that are very musical and easy to manipulate. It is difficult to summarize in words but we will be sure to create some videos to demonstrate how easy and fun this is to play with. It definitely represents something unique in the landscape of Eurorack sequencers.

COMBO mode:

In this mode you can loop record your performance on any combination of the following functions:

fader, bipolar fader, drum hit, switch or LFO. Kind of like Elektron style parameter locking but all of the motions is recorded continuously instead of just in slices. Instantly turn a simple patch into a highly animated and complex beast.

With all of the above mentioned loop recording modes you can very easily overdub since the Tetrapad detects pressure/pressing. In combo mode you can erase individual channels.

All modes allow for internal or external clocking and configurable syncing.

All of the modes have special XYZ CV modulation assignments and make use of the dedicated CV outputs.

For example, in Looper mode one of the CV outputs generates a continuous ramp that represents the position in the loop. This can be used with devices like the Planar 2 in Interpolation mode to sync the recorded patterns together no matter what tempo.

Notes: The Airlectron Sensor Recorder module is equipped with a sunlight independent distance sensor to generate CV output voltages.

A distance sensor reacts to hand movements and varies the CV output voltages (bipolar/max +/- 5 V, unipolar/max 0-+10 V). The range control adjusts the detection distance (2-50 cm). The freeze function keeps the voltage when there is no continuous movement.

The recorder/looper can be used to record motion sequences for up to two minutes. This recorded data can be played back in a loop or once and restarted at the START/RESET input. LEDs indicate the status of the gate inputs and outputs.

32 effects are simultaneously available, but FX AID can be reflashed with other effects in any order.

Reflashing procedure is quite easy: playing 40 sec long .wav file of line level amplitude to CV input.

Reflashing mode: hold both buttons for 10 sec.

By default it runs on 32.77 kHz and, if sample rate reduction assign is used, this sample rate can be decreased down to 2000 Hz or brought up to 48 kHz.

Notes: The OpticTone is a combination of a 12dB multi-mode Vactrol Filter and a Vactrol Voltage Controlled Amplifier.

It is a completely original circuit inspired by the singular nature of Vactrols and their fluid and natural character.

The Filter section provides the three fundamental filter types: Lowpass, Bandpass and Highpass.

A Resonance knob with voltage control input is available for improved modulation flexibility. The feedback knob interacts with the Resonance path, tempering it from creamy resonance to wacky self-oscillation.

Filter and VCA run in parallel, both are controlled by the Freq/Amp knob and it's associated voltage-control input. The combination of both signals can be crossfaded with a dedicated knob.

The Freq/Amp is also controlled with direct touch control on the panel via the 3 lines below the knob.

The filter frequency control can be inverted by the Inv Freq switch, providing the possibility to change the filter direction. This feature allows the filter to "close" when the VCA is "opening" or the other way around.

The Ping input allows to generate the well known vactrol filter percussive sounds if a gate or trigger signal is provided. The Ping frequency if controlled by the Freq/Amp knob, ranging from low kicks drums to high pitch bongos.

There is also a Drive knob to take care of your saturation needs. The Overdrive range is wide, from soft textural clipping to heavy distortion.

All voltage controlled inputs have an attenuator-inverter knob.

Notes: Designed with versatility in mind, MapVolt is a dual-channel Universal Voltage Processor built for flexibility in handling audio and CV signals.

With only 6hp, Mapvolt is a multipurpose tool for voltage-controlled scaling, inverting, offsetting, subtracting, and mixing functions.

Each channel of MapVolt can operate in either Polarizer or Attenuator mode, allowing manual control via knobs or CV signals. In Polarizer mode, it functions as a Voltage Controlled Attenuator-Inverter, granting control over signal level and polarity. Additionally, it can be used as a Four-Quadrant Multiplier or Ring Modulator for audio signals, with the processor input serving as the carrier signal and the polarizer's CV input acting as the modulator.

In Attenuator mode, MapVolt operates as a VCA, providing control over signal levels. Its VCA CV input range of +5/-5 makes it well-suited for amplitude modulation (AM) with other +/-5V waveforms.

MapVolt is equipped with dedicated Voltage Offset knobs for each channel, which can be controlled via CV. If no input is patched into the Processor input channel, the Voltage Offset knobs can be used as Offset Generators.

With its dedicated mixing stage, MapVolt enables the combination of both channels into a shared output. Furthermore, if one of the processor channels is inverted, it allows for the subtraction of one signal from the other.

Compared to general purpose CV mixers (like POLAMIX), this module does the summing of the CVs very precise (within a few millivolts), so the desired pitch is not affected.

The module offers three CV inputs for each of the both units; the first unit has an additional fourth input where the CV is subtracted - meaning "transposition downwards".

The ADSR module offers the classic four-stage envelope (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) that is not only loopable (patch the end output into gate input) but also accepts CV control over each of the stages! For the time values (A, D, R) the value set by the knob can be increased to five times the duration by the corresponding CV value. For the Sustain value the knob and CV value are simply added.
