Review: Here's a surprise treat: a swathe of new remixes of Phuture's early acid house vocal anthem "We Are Phuture" by Chile's Crown Prince of Techno-Wonk, Villalobos. The minimalist maestro takes the surging and life-affirming 1988 original (included to kick-off the double-pack) and pulls it in a variety of twisted new directions. All offer a brilliant balance between original elements - mostly the vocals and hand-picked portions of the pioneering Chicago trio's mind-altering TB-303 acid lines - with new rhythm tracks that variously touch on South American minimal techno, electro and bustling, drum machine-rich tech-house. Each is naturally druggy and intoxicating, with the punchy Phutur II Remix arguably offering the best option for peak-time plays.

Review: Get Physical drop a four track sample of what to expect from the Heidi curated Jackathon compilation of original jack music, which was borne out of her series of international club nights. The bar has been set high by the contributions here with Soul Clap, Deetron, Matias Kaden, and Lauhaus & Kabale Und Liebe. Boston duo Soul Clap commence proceedings with the decidedly sleazy bottom heavy bumps of "Incoming Bitch (Get Low)" whilst Deetron adopts a tighter approach to jacking house on "The Juggler". On the flip Vakant regular Matias Kaden drops the relentless, twisted pressure of "Jackathon" which features a winning vocal turn from Gjaezon. It's an all Dutch affair to end proceedings as Lauhaus teams up with Kabale Und Liebe to serve up "Who Called Kenny?" a clipper minimal jacker that features the whispered vocals of WKD.

Review: Borne out of some low key NYC club nights overseen by Matthew Dear and M.A.N.D.Y.'s Phillip Jung, the infectious sounds of the cunningly titled M.A.N.D.E.A.R first debuted on last year's Get Physical 8 mix from Thomas Schumacher. The subsequent repeated clamour for a full release of "Buddies" has finally been addressed by Get Physical with the added bonus of a thumping Radioslave remix. Ramping up the tempo to a dizzying pace, Mr Edwards slowly implements an all-encompassing burning rhythm that simmers with near religious intent beneath the whispered vocal refrain. On the flip, the joyous original is preceded by an excellently demented M.A.N.D.Y. remix that's heavy on the cowbell - reason enough to indulge!

Review: The mighty Get Physical label revisits a classic here with Rework's 'You're So Just Just' from back in 2020 getting some fresh new reworks by Detroit dons Seth Troxler X Ryan Crosson and Berlin fav Cinthie alongside an updated version from the act themselves. That version goes first and on it the bass rolls deep, and the drums are snappy and upright. Visionquest co-founders Troxler and Crosson serve up a remix full of trippy sound designs and wiggling hooks, then Cinthie, who runs the Elevate store and 803 Crystal Grooves label, brings her timeless house sound as its hypnotic loops and punchy kick patterns are draped in old-school chord vamps.

Review: It's hard to over-state the impact that M.A.N.D.Y and Booka Shade's first collaborative single, 'Body Language', had following its 2005 release. Not only was it a huge crossover club hit, but its' hazy tech-house beats, slowly unfurling melodies and undulating electronic motifs also inspired countless pale imitations. Here the track returns in remastered form (track three), alongside two never-before-seen remixes: an ultra-atmospheric, sub-heavy, 21st century tech-house take courtesy of Patrice Baumel, and a shuffling, breakbeat-driven HOSH take that boasts some seriously ghostly, progressive house influenced riffs and a rumbling, angular and mind-melting bassline.
