He takes his deft hand to remixes for pop acts such as Lana Del Rey's "West Coast", Foals "Late Night" and Editors "Our Love" through to Hamburg locals Kollektiv Turmstasse's Berlin legend Paul Kalkbrenner's "Cloudrider" and Tiga & Audion's killer "Let's Go Dancing". Review: Berlin-based DJ, producer and live-act Oliver Koletzki steps up to his own label Still Vor Talent with a tenth studio album. Its title Trip to Sanity is a reference to the classic German children's story 'Tabaluga' about a little dragon and is said to reflect the artist's own journey over the last 18 years in the scene. It's one riddled with a child-like curiosity for new sounds and it comes with plenty of collaborations as has always been the way with Oliver. There are jazzy downbeat cuts, party-starting house anthems and plenty of deeper moments that showcase fine craft and real musical artistry.

Review: Rayka Records chiefs Charonne were isolated for months in their studio, during which they reflected on the past few years of releasing music. The result is Innervoice: Alex T. & Noe B's first album featuring 14 tracks pressed on three 12''. Featured are some spacey jams as expected, that cover a wide spectrum of moods and grooves such as the early UK Peacefrog techno vibe of 'Jinx', the gleaming late night rave mood of 'Move Me' to the downbeat alien funk of 'Future, Past, Present' and the intelligent drum 'n' bass experiment 'Utopia'.

Review: In the sprawling tendrils of minimal mastery Ricardo Villalobos has attached his name to, it's not always easy to pick out the stone cold classics. 2003 album Alcachofa is, however, a stand out moment from his career when he proved to be more than just a club 12" artist. Sure, the record is mainly driven by house rhythms, but this was a demonstration of the creative power within the minimal approach and Villalobos could get creative more than most. Originally released on Playhouse and now repressed on four 12"s by Perlon, it's a fitting tribute to a landmark record, now with added tracks from the accompanying Alcachofa Tools 12".

Review: It's very rare to find Murat Tepeli appearing on his lonesome without sparring partner Prosumer in tow. In fact the last time was seven years ago, so props go out to Philpot for ensnaring these funky jams. The style feels right at home on the label, not least on the tumbledown beats and rubbery sub bass of "Mastika". There's a definite Berlin weight behind the monstrous kick on "Clifetelli" which sounds primed for Panoramabar, but it's not all fist-pumping brawn as "Good" proves. Displaced flurries of drums appear occasionally, but really this track is all about the haunting melodic refrain. Highly recommended.

Fans of stripped-back, minimalist techno - particularly the Eastern European variant focused around Romania's thriving scene - will happily tell you that every release from Christi Cons and Vlad Caia's Sideways Invisibility Theory project (AKA SIT) is worth checking. This pack containing all the tracks from their new album (both chapters one and two) is certainly noteworthy. It features a quintet of trippy, low-slung late night workouts seemingly designed to operate in the cracks between tech-house and minimal techno. There are naturally subtle variations throughout - a nod to dub techno here, a psychedelic acid line or dreamy deep house texture there - but throughout, their focus remains firmly on wonky early morning workouts - A future classic.

Review: Minimal author Ion Ludwig is an expert at laying down superbly simmering, perfectly reduced techno tracks that are dusty yet dynamic, infectious and heady all at once. 15 years into his career he remains at the top of his game and this new album for Basel's Adam's Bite is another excellent one. It finds him push his own boundaries, calling variously on oboe samples, watery chords, jazz cymbals and plenty more to take you deep into a warren of darkly involving minimal grooves that are always stuffed with detail for the head while never forgetting the requirements of your heels.

Review: This important album and piece of true electronic music history gets a re-issue; on 180 gram vinyl. What can be said for this album that has not been said already? Well, it is known for the classics "Halcyon (On & On)" and "Lush" and the brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll are not just UK rave legends but pioneers of electronica that is for sure. Named after Greater London's orbital motorway, the M25, which was ground zero for the rave scene of the late eighties. This album is as seminal as it gets and a true zeitgeist of a moment in electronic music's history. Re-issues don't come much better than this!

Review: Bicep's second album is shaped by the experience of touring their debut long player for something like three years, a period during which they honed and perfected their instinct for tracks that would stand the test of time and repeated listening. What develops is a distinctive style typified by a combination of ethereal sonics and cheeky, memorable instrumental hooks, only set to a variety of beats that reference and indeed fuse the plethora of different dance genres that have sprung up since the acid house revolution if the mid-80s. So we get everything from the electro-tainted 'X' to 'Rever', where an African choir floats over a subtle deep house shuffle and 'Saku', where UKG bass pressure and skippy beats provide a hypnotic background for Clara La San's sweet but ghostly voice.

Review: Iconic and rule breaking British producer Herbert is happily reissuing a couple of his early electronic albums. They come from a time when he was slaying the club tunes, a real hero amongst DJs looking for his slinky and subversive late night grooves. Bodily Functions from 2001 has been described as "the perfect marriage of art and intelligence" because of its incredible artistic depth and studio craft. In honour of Herbert's own working MO which bans sampling other artists, no drum machines, no synths, the record is packed with deft details such as vocals, double bass, guitar, clarinets, flugelhorns, trumpets and recordings of human bodies as well as plenty of jazz-dance-pop grooves.
