Notes: Introducing the HATS808, part of Tiptop Audio's new series of drum modules that bring analog percussion into the modular synth world, instantly turning your system into a self-contained music machine.

The HATS808 is the TR-808's real, analog closed and open hi-hat circuits adapted for use in Eurorack modular synthesizer format and tested to sound just like it did back in the 80's. Adapting to modular foramt has allowed Tiptop Audio to add some special features for each voice, like independent accent levels, a high-powered gain stage, and a dual-input pulse-shaper. Filter Q and VC-Q knobs were added to the main band-pass filter for additional tuning and to allow you to generate crushed tones and self-oscillation at the knob's max position - all without comprimising the signature sound of the TR-808 hi-hats.

The HATS808 sizzling sound is made using six analog square wave oscillators mixed and processed by band-pass filters. This multi-oscillator design is what give the 808 hi-hat sounds their unique metallic character and akes each HATS808 sound slightlty different from one-another. The original "choke" circuitry that makes it sound so dynamic and tight is fully implemented, just like the original, but can also be disabled if needed, by disconnecting the internal connection between the two hats.

Just like the other drums in this series, the HATS808 high-powered output gain stage allows you to further harmonize the sound using distortion and clipping. On each input, there is a dual pulse-shaper circuit so you can trigger your HATS808 with Trigger/Gate signals from step sequencers, clock dividers or any other pulse/clock sources. This eliminates the need to shape pulses sent to the module and ensures the same stable sound at peak power, regardless of your pulse source. All these unique features make integrating this legendary sound generator into your modular synth easy, unleashing the power of real analog drums.

Separate left and right cut controls make it easy to adjust without the need to recalibrate. The EHX Neo Holy Grail is an update to our wildly popular compact digital reverb, the Holy Grail. It contains three reverb algorithms: SPRING, HALL, and PLATE. All three algorithms were designed and tailored for the electric guitar, but they work equally well on most instruments and voices.

The SPRING algorithm is a re-creation of the classic spring reverbs that are found in many guitar amplifiers. The HALL algorithm simulates the reverberations heard in large spaces such as a concert hall or cathedral. The PLATE algorithm is an emulation of a metal plate reverb commonly found in high end recording studios during the 1960s and '70s. The PLATE reverb is a very smooth, tonally balanced sounding reverb that sounds great on many different instruments, especially vocals. True bypass switching ensures your tone won't be affected when the pedal is bypassed.

Notes: Full-blooded distortion - Pit Viper is a solid state overdrive for hard-boiled musicians. The circuit can generate clean, beefy signal boosts. However, its true strengths lie in aggressively screaming distortions with a tangible character.

Pit Viper comes equipped with the following control elements:

- Toxicity: Gain potentiometer - Please turn up for heavy distortion.
- Hiss: Tone knob - Turn clockwise to cut the treble.
- Venom: Volume potentiometer
- Fear: Three-stage soft clipping switch - Activates normal soft clipping or a more tube-like version with less treble.
- Malice: Three-stage hard clipping switch - Activates beefy hard clipping or a spongier version with less treble.
- Blend: Dry / Wet potentiometer
- Bite: CV input plus attenuator to cut the high frequency range. Without a cable plugged in, the knob can be used for adjusting the treble manually.
- Saturation: CV input plus attenuator and on/off switch to influence gain and saturation.
- Filter: CV input plus attenuator and on/off switch to control the Viper's VCF circuit.

Via a jumper on the circuit board, users can choose between several filter types:

Notes: The mini Innofader Plus is the new upgrade part which will replace the mini Innofader PNP P. The cut point has 0.1mm precision combined with a lightning fast 1msec response time. And now you can hook it up to an innoJUSTER to ensure you get the hairline precision cut point exactly where you want it on the fly!

The installation process is now greatly simplified. Low profile connectors ensure that you do not have to worry about breaking any cables. The button is now easier to press. And the adjustments now can be done with simpler swipe movements.

Notes: Delay is a flexible, full-featured delay audio processor. CV over all parameters provides dynamic access to its nuanced controls. The feedback path ranges from slapback to infinity, allowing for wild permutations of the original signal.

With delay times from milliseconds to nearly two seconds, Delay is sure to find a use in every patching situation. Add subtle echo to a melodic line, or crank up the feedback and hear a bed of layered sounds to bury your listeners in.

Notes: Merges the data from up to eight separate MIDI sources (e.g. master keyboards, controllers, computers etc.) into a single MIDI data stream which appears at both the MIDI out sockets. Merges all MIDI data including MIDI Clock, MIDI time code and SysEx (see the manual for merging rules). Can also be configured as two completely independent 4 into 1 mergers with the simple press of a recessed button (see manual for details).

Notes: Lipsk facilitates the inversion of the individual bits produced by Drezno (or any other module connected to its input header at the back), and delivers the resulting code to its output header. Bit inversion can be manually controlled by pressing any of combination of its eight illuminated buttons, or it can be automated by patching gate signals into its gate input sockets. An active (5V) gate flips the state of the respective bit. If the button is active (bit already flipped), then the gate flips the bit again yielding double inversion (no inversion). The corresponding LEDs show the combined effect of both manual and gate actions. The bit processing logic is hardware-based, so there is virtually no latency, allowing the binary signals to be manipulated at extreme rates.

Notes: Tune is a multi-scale pitch quantizer. It features 11 scales ranging from chromatic to octatonic with everything in between. In addition, the bias control allows the user to transpose the melody to a different octave or starting note.

This functionality opens up every musical mode for each of its 11 scales and provides a performable control for transforming melodies on the fly.

Notes: This is a precision active buffer and multiple. This module has outstanding performance: it features very high input impedance, very low output impedance and an offset voltage of <1mV.

Not all active multi's are born equal, some designs do not fully solve impedance mismatch and tracking problems, or they apply offset voltages to the output and in rare cases can cause more problems than they solve!

AJH Synth have added a very useful (and unique) feature to cure tracking problems: four of the five outputs can be adjusted up or down by +/-5% from the front panel, so that VCO's and VCF's that don't track 1V/Oct exactly can be easily compensated to track correctly without having to re-calibrate the VCO or VCF themselves.

Review: 1975's Black Sabbath album, Sabotage, was written at a time when the band were caught up in an ongoing legal battle with their former manager. That is what gave the album its title and no doubt fuelled some of the more abrasive and angry tracks. The newly remastered reissue is now paired with a complete live show that was recorded during the band's 1975 tour. Of the 16 tracks, 13 have never before been released. One issue when recording using a computer is latency, which is when audio signals are delayed through digital circuitry. Another is setting up the driver software that is used when connecting an audio interface to a computer. Furthermore, by making the external structure of these interfaces as simple as possible, the Tascam US-2x2HR and US-4x4HR allow users who are not expert users of audio equipment to operate them without concern.

The Settings Panel, which is installed on your computer, comes with a variety of functions. You can choose whether direct monitoring is done in mono or stereo and adjust the balance between input and computer signals. You can also switch the hardware inputs on and off individually and set the Windows buffer size according to your working environment.

Details & use:

The module consists of circuits designed to group the most useful operations for signal mingling in modular synth setups -but in the more fun manner!

It is designed in the way that the circuits can function independently -be patched to the other modules- or to be combined inside the module at the same time!

On the top of the module there is a buffered multiple (the bi-color led is indicating signal input and its polarity) : Next to the input there are two outputs giving the exact copy of the incoming signal. On the third output you'll get the 'attenuverted" version of that signal which is controllable by the dedicated attenuator/inverter potentiometer.

This signal can be further added (or muted) via its switch, internally to a unity gain mixer situated on the bottom of the module via its SUMM OUT.

This mixer has its own 3 inputs who will accept CVs as well as audio signals with an output gain of 1/3.

Its bi-color led will indicate the polarity of the incoming signals.

In the center of the module there is a CV Processor consisting of two mixers each mixing two signals- in the way that:
The first one takes two signals (A and B) and outputs simultaneously the positive version of their mix (AB+ OUT) and the negative version (AB- OUT).
Their gain is scaled by the potentiometer: going on 1x in the middle position to 2x fully turned. (After middle position with a stronger signal and due to higher gain it will start to saturate producing an distortion-like effect)
Further, via their switch, those mixes also can be added to a unity gain mix (SUMM OUT) and therefore creating a larger mix.
You'll do that by choosing which polarity output you want to send to a summing mix.
In the middle position of the switch the signal is "off" so you can use this to mute/un-mute the signal in the unity mix. Also, even if it is in "off" position this only breaks the internal link to a unity mix but you can still use their distinctive outputs to send your positive and negative mixes elsewhere in your system.

Goes the same for the second one: C and D inputs giving positive (CD+) output result and negative (CD-) simultaneously , all with gain select and the switch choice for summ positive or negative (or none) to a bigger unity mix.

You can also choose to use those two circuits as a simple attenuators for ex. by patching only one signal so you'll get an attenuator and polarizer at once!

The module can process CV and audio as well in every circuit.

Therefore, by summing eventually all the signals to a final "SUMM OUT" output you can create up to 8 sources -in the module- large mix!

Made for more fun with a modular!

This module fits perfectly well with Modulaire Maritime "Decca" switch-based manual control module.

As these modules are developed from practicing recording in "one take" (same for a live performing), combining them you get an extended control over CVs, gates and audio going on in the system, allowing to switch- stop/mute, change polarity, introduce/mix more gates, drums,.. on the fly.

While sporting a pretty serious price tag, this Super Deluxe edition of Black Sabbath's seminal fourth album is certainly one for the collectors, who will delight in the 11 additional studio recordings featured in the huge amount of bonus material here, which include snippets of studio dialogue, false starts and more rough around the edges nuances that bring the work to life.

Notes: Memphis Vibrato was designed as the "small brother" of Crazy Tube Circuits' Killer V- this was born out of high demand for a true pitch shifting amp-like vibrato pedal, without the drive section.

Time doesn't stand still and so with Queequeg 2, KMA's aim was not only to update the device with a more striking appearance, but also add an additional sub-octave and the ability to switch and mix between them. With a small footprint, the updated pedal also has top mounted jacks and relay based soft switching for the modern age. Queequeg 2's super, easy-to-use and ultra-fast tracking sub-octaver works equally well on guitar, bass and synth, so these classic earth-shakingly awesome tones can find their way to any setup out there.

Now you can easily connect anything with an audio output to your OP-Z: effects pedals, radios, synths, computers or even your phone. With audio out, you can separate and process individual tracks by routing them to the module output. The line module stereo output can even be used as two mono outputs.

MIDI in/out
