Notes: Cursus Iteritas is an oscillator that works from a dynamically generated wavetable. The Dual Mantis Studio Brackets pair lets you connect two Mantis together in a robust and elegant solution. This setup is fixed and is recommend mainly for studio use. The brackets are cut precisely by laser from a sturdy metal and then coated twice for a nice smooth finish that matches the Mantis light gray color. They come with sixteen screws and special washers that help hold the screw in place during assembly and keep a tiny gap between the brackets and the Mantis. Installation is fairly simple and takes about 30 minutes to complete.

As of May 2021, all Mantis cases shipped have a small update to the design. The connector for SyncBus is no longer included. This connector was never used as Tiptop didn't develop the cable for it, and the connector is no longer in production by the manufacturer so it was removed. LINNAEUS is a stereo state-variable filter that provides the unique ability to linearly modulate its resonant frequency through zero into negative frequency, while maintaining stability. With extensive voltage control of nearly every parameter, Linnaeus lets you manipulate the filter's natural response curve in new ways, to create both subtle and dramatic timbral effects. And with a "one-knob-per-parameter" interface, LINNAEUS inspires sonic creativity that invites (and rewards) real-time interaction.

LINNAEUS's cutoff/resonant frequency is exponentially voltage controllable from sub-audio to ultrasonic frequencies, while its resonant gain (Q) is exponentially voltage controllable from 0dB to greater than 60dB.

LINNAEUS's channel output response characteristics are independently and continuously variable from Lowpass, through Bandpass, Highpass and Notch, to Low and High Shelving characteristics. Voltage control of the response characteristics are independently selectable for each of the two channels.

The linear thru-zero modulation is provided by an integrated modulation oscillator and/or an External Linear FM modulation input.

The voltage-controllable modulation oscillator can track the filter's exponential frequency or operate independently. The modulation oscillator's output waveform is continuously variable from Off through Sine, Triangle, and Sawtooth, to Square. The modulation oscillator output is summed with the external linear FM input and applied to the modulation index VCA, which controls the linear thru-zero modulation index from zero to 8X. The modulation index is, of course, also voltage controllable.

D-PRE (Discrete Class-A Mic Preamps): This is where it all starts. Everything you do as a sound engineer is dependent on the quality of your preamps, which determines the direction your mix will take, and ultimately how good it is going to sound. MG Series mixing consoles feature Yamaha's studio-grade discrete class-A D-PRE preamps, which utilize an inverted Darlington circuit comprising two cascading transistors in a configuration that provides more power with lower impedance. Delivering fat, natural sounding bass and smooth, soaring highs, with very low distortion, D-PRE preamps possess an impressively wide frequency range that allow them to handle signal from any audio source without overly amplifying any specific elements of the sound. Having such a pure sonic platform to build on will ultimately save you time and effort by eliminating the need for excessive EQing or additional effects processing in order to "fix" your mix.

High Quality Sound Op-amp: The head amp determines sound quality, and op-amp integrated circuits are one of the most important parts in the head amp circuit. MG Series mixers feature new, high-quality, custommade MG01 op-amps that we developed in cooperation with the semiconductor manufacturer. Although many other Op-amps prioritize electrical design and efficiency, we worked directly with the semiconductor manufacturer to focus on sound quality first. MG01 op-amps feature redesigned circuitry in which even the internal components and wiring have been optimized, and use materials such as high-quality silicon wafers and copper wire to achieve superb resolution.

Switchable Phantom Power & PAD Switch: With phantom power, MG Series consoles allow you to take full advantage of the greater frequency response and high sound quality of condenser microphones. The input channel with PAD switch accepts MIC to line level of inputs, PAD Switch attenuates high input signals that often accompany mic'ed instruments during performance, avoiding the clippingthat can seriously affect your mix.

When was the last time you heard guitar without EQ or a completely unprocessed vocal on one of your favorite songs? Probably never. Yamaha mixers are famous for their flat response and sonic purity, but it often takes more than a perfectly-captured instrumental performance or vocal to achieve a professional-sounding mix. Notes: There is almost no modular system without at least one filter-module. You can look at them as the stars within the giant Eurorack-jungle. twinVCFilter is such a star as well. A dual filter module with flexible routing and excellent audio properties. It covers a huge range of different applications without the slightest effort.

Features and Routing:

Each filter section of twinVCFilter works as low- or highpass-filter with a slope of 12 dB/octave or as bandpass-filter with 6 db/octave. Signals can be directed in three ways through the module:

- Serial: The incoming signal passes both filter sections in a row.
- Dual: The filter sections act completely separated of each other. As if they were two individual filter modules.
- Parallel: The incoming signal passes both filters at the same time.

With these routings you can i.e. generate bandpasses or notches with variable slopes and different resonance settings or doubling the filter's slope. These are the more obvious combinations but there is a lot more to discover.

The convenient link-feature allows to couple cutoff- and resonance of both filter sections for straightforward stereo use in dual mode.

Mix section:

The flexible signal-routing is supplemented by the mix-section. Here you can crossfade both filter sections manually or by control voltages. Seamless movements from low- to highpass-filter, is as easy as crossfading from half to doubled slope. Of course you can mix two completely individual signals or toggle between them by using a rectangle-LFO-modulation.

Resonance:

Resonance is a key factor in the context of sound-shaping and sound-generation using a filter. Therefore we carefully trimmed twinVCFilter's resonance to be as musically and stable as possible. You can apply subtle frequency-dependent emphasis to signals and tear them up to self-oscillation. The latter generates a solid sine-wave which is an excellent base for percussive sounds. Possible cross-modulations significantly enhance the sound-generator features. By the way: If you are missing a vibrato-LFO in a patch, twinVCFilter can do the job.

twinVCFilter offers a huge set of features to form impressive soundscapes. It can take subtle influence to signals or massively truncate frequencies. It leaves nothing to be desired. Despite, for those who need additional possibilities we especially designed the tVCF-Extension module.

Notes: A duophonic percussion/drum module which offers you two individual, almost identical voices. Each of them has an oscillator with selectable waveforms as well as an attack-decay envelope which simultaneously can modulate the pitch and the VCA.

A large number of sockets is available which not only are used for modulating and triggering the drums but also emit any oscillator waveform and envelopes. That is utterly useful!

The first difference between both voices are the available waveforms: voice A offers square, triangle and sine, while voice B has noise, square and sine. For atonal noisy sounds like hi hats and anything cymbal voice B is more suitable.
The wave forms are switch selectable and simultaneosuly available at individual outputs i.e. you can process the audio signals exernally. Using the module's EG CV outputs plus two external VCAs you can re-create or alter the signal flow. Envelope signals and audio sources are available!

For controlling the frequency there's a hi/lo switch alternating between bass and treble, then a tune control and a modulation attenuator which scales either the envelope or a nexternal CV. besides individual inputs (A VCO and B VCO) there's also a common CV input VCO A+B which addresses both voices simultaneosuly. A VCO is normalized to the VC CV input A VCA, analogical for channel B.

The second difference is in the envelopes. Voice A has an attack-decay envelope generator with manually adjustable times. Voice B has a decay envelope with fixes attack time but with voltage control of decay time via EG 2 input and the CV EG2 attenuator.
The envelope generators are able to modulate not only the pitch but simultaneously also the level. For that reason there's an second attenuator which altternately detemines the intensity of an external CV (see above).

Each voice has an individual audio output, although OUT B works as a mix output when no cable is plugged to OUT A.

The Life Pedal V3 circuit has been meticulously tweaked from the original to squeeze every last drop of heavy crushing tone available. The octave section has been fine tuned to make it more pronounced without losing the bottom end and we added a third footswitch, utilizing Flexi Switch Technology, for the octave to allow an additional method of quick and radical tone shaping. We are excited to have this back in permanent production, it is a true labour of love.

Life Pedal V3 is a distortion with a blendable analogue octave up and a booster combined in one compact package. The "Amplitude" side is faithfully modelled after the classic "White Face" distortion unit, using modern, reliable components to last a lifetime. The only modifications made to the original circuit are in the clipping section. The traditional circuit uses a single pair of silicon diodes for a tight, compressed crunch.

As with version 2, Life Pedal V3 offers two additional clipping options to better adapt to different rigs. The first position is no diodes to allow for full, grinding Op Amp assault at maximum volume. The second position utilizes two silicon diodes and one LED in an asymmetrical clipping configuration. This delivers a slightly compressed and smooth crunch, similar to a valve amplifier.

The last position is the stock double silicon diode configuration which provides that classic tone you know and love. The Octave in Life Pedal is an all-discrete, analogue full-wave rectifier base on a classic vintage design. Located at the input of the circuit, the Octave control slowly blends in the octave effects as you turn it clockwise. This feature can also be used via expression control allowing for wild, hands-free octave swells mid-riff or using the footswitch for immediate octave fuzz destruction.

Because this is an analogue octave effect, it is monophonic and works best playing single notes above the twelfth fret while using the neck pickup. Playing chords with the analogue octave will sound clanging and chaotic.

Using the bridge pickup and playing below the twelfth fret will produce a very subtle octave effect. Going full Octave transforms Life Pedal from a simple distortion device into a swelling, raging fuzz similar to the classic Super Fuzz!

The "Magnitude" section of Life Pedal is a simple all-discrete MOSFET booster designed to blast your preamp tubes and drive them wild. It is a 100% clean, no-nonsense, high impedance booster that adds very little colour to your tone. It does not add distortion on its own but has plenty of output to push your amp into saturation.

The signal path goes Octave>Distortion>Boost. The octave distortion and booster can be used independently with their own respective foot switches. The Petrine Cross is the octave distortion and the Christian Cross is the booster.

Notes: Explore modulation beyond the standard ADSR with Verbos's complex polyphonic envelope, opening up the potential of ADAsR and AHDsR slopes. Use the four envelopes independently or trigger sequentially in three separate modes.

Supplier's Notes:
The Verbos Polyphonic Envelope module is a set of four envelope generators which can be used together or independently. Cascade logic allows the four envelopes to trigger sequentially with subsequent envelopes starting at the Hold, Decay or End of the previous envelope.

Each envelope offers its own gate input, CV output and end pulse output, so it can be used in up to four-voice polyphonic patches. The three skew controls allow the times to change as each new envelope is switched on. All parameters can be voltage controlled.

Getting audio to and from a computer easily is now a common requirement for live sound and music production. The way this has been implemented on ZED is super-flexible and super-easy! No longer do you need to fiddle around the back of your PC to get to the soundcard inputs, only to find that the levels are all wrong and noisy. ZED60-10FX features a responsive 3-band British EQ with sweepable mid frequency that is acclaimed for its musicality, even when applying extreme creative or corrective equalisation. All EQ controls have been carefully calibrated for responsiveness and smooth, precise adjustment.

ZED60-10FX has an essential selection of 16 time-delay effects, designed for small groups who don't want to carry around an effects unit with their gear but who still want great quality FX at their gigs and on their recordings. Our DSP engineers worked hard, crafting and refining beautiful reverb algorithms to enhance every performance. These effects are available nowhere else at this price point - this quality and integration is only available from the ZED-FX. ZED effects are easily controlled using 3 buttons with 9 display LEDs. For example, the ideal delay time can be quickly tapped-in, or the perfect amount of reverb on the lead vocal can be dialled-in. There is one-stop navigation and editing - in fact, it's just as easy as using effects pedals. To alter effects parameters, the TAP button is held down and the up/down buttons pressed to adjust the specific parameter for that effect, for example, the decay length on PLATE, or the depth on CHORUS.

ZED60-10FX's pre-amps are similar in design to our MixWizard range of mixers, but with a twist! Inputs 3 & 4 have a high impedance jack input capable of taking either a normal line level or a low level input from a guitar pickup. These newly designed inputs have been crafted with the aim of replicating the sound of a classic guitar or instrument tube pre-amp in a combo or head amp. An extremely high input impedance ensures loading on pick-ups is minimal and a Class A FET (field effect transistor) circuit powered from 48V is employed to give the valve-like gain stage. There is a gain "Boost" switch associated with the guitar inputs which boosts gain by 26dB to cater for instruments with very low level outputs and the overdrive characteristics of the guitar inputs are very similar to a valve (tube) circuit, being asymmetric and soft. All this makes for a wonderfully natural sound to be reproduced from the instrument, full of warmth and character.

Notes: Mess with time and space in real time with this impressive pitch-shifter and time-stretcher. Reverse and tape stop effects, looping, randomisation and much more, with optional expression and MIDI control.

The Tensor gives you live reverse and tape stop effects, pitch shifting, time stretching and hold functions that you can combine in creative ways. Slow down, speed up and rewind in real time. Stretch or compress time with no pitch change. Loop, overdub, and randomly slice phrases up to 9.4 seconds (4.7 seconds in stereo).

Intelligent randomization adapts to the knob settings. The results range from occasional CD skips, stutters, and rhythmic repeats to random slicing and erratic pitch shifts. Both foot switches have momentary and latching modes to inject pitch jumps, glitches, or instantly rewind what you just played.

The Tensor is in a pedalboard-friendly enclosure with all jacks on top. All controls are immediately accessible with well-spaced knobs for live tweaking, and USB MIDI for recording and sequencing.

Notes: The RESONANT EQUALIZER (EQ) is a unique ten-band filter designed specifically for electronic sound synthesis and processing. Except for the top and bottom frequency bands, the bands are spaced at an interval of a major seventh. The Resonant Equalizer is designed to produce formant peaks and valleys similar to those in acoustic insstruments.

There are three equalized outputs: the two COMB outputs provide the sums of the two alternate filter bands, while the two top outputs are the (identical) mix of all filter bands. Please note that there is no sharp separation between the bands, moving any frequency knob will have an influence on both COMB outputs. This equalizer is special in that the bands can be set to be resonant: when the knobs are in the middle position, the response at the main EQ Output is flat. When the knobs are positioned between the 9 and 3 o'clock position, up to 12 db of boost or cut is set at the band. If the knob is set beyond the 3 o'clock position, the band will become resonant, simulating the natural resonance of acoustic instrument formant structures. Below the 9 o'clock position, increased band rejection is achieved.

The Random*Source version of the filter is a licensed and authorized adaption of the legendary Serge equalizer for Eurorack. It adds an input mixer with 2 inputs that can be built/used to attenuate or amplify/distort the input signal(s) before they are sent into the EQ and a Feedback section (knob and phase switch) which allows to feed back the output signal or the inverted output signal (depending on the Phase switch). Adding inverted feedback leads to phase cancellation effects - unlike the "normal" feedback, level decreases and the signal thins out.

Notes: Mackie have always been strong when it comes to smaller mixing desks for studio and live use. The third-gen Pro FX12 continues that tradition. Lots of mix power for the money with a built-in audio interface too.

Notes: The Variable Q VCF (or VCFQ, for short) from Random Source is a skiff-friendly Eurorack adaptation of what is perhaps the most famous Serge filter. Amazing tonal variety comes from combining outputs, automating resonance settings via CV, and adding grit using its adjustable-gain input.

Simple filtration is only one of the VCFQ's many uses, however. Its amazing trigger input turns rising-edge pulses into thick analog kicks and toms which roughly track notes thanks to a dedicated 1V/oct input. This module also becomes an ultra-powerful modulator in "Lo" mode, with decaying/syncable LFOs well within grasp using the trigger input, along with free-running oscillation when self-patched. NOTE: USB power has inherent ground noise, so when connecting the UNO Synth directly to your computer via USB, you may hear more noise and interference than when the synth is connected to a USB wall charger or running via batteries. With the direct computer connection, you can reduce the USB ground noise and other interference by either using a USB isolator or a custom TRS cable into a balanced input on your preamp or audio interface where the ground is not connected at the balanced input side.

The Trigger Riot is a multipurpose trigger module that makes ultra complex patterns of gates triggers and clock pulses. The Riot covers a lot of ground in any Eurorack system from the master clocking for your entire system to algorithmic generation of pulses for envelopes, step sequencers, drums and accents that can venture into highly complex territory driven by simple yet powerful logic and algebra with a dash of pseudo randomness for some unpredictable results.

The user interface allows a great deal of control over pulses with each knob acting as a clock divider, clock multiplier, step injector, time shifter, clock shifter, pulse-width modulator, and an arithmetic probability processor. Now take that control and multiply it by 16 and feed it into 8 outputs for maximum Trigger Riot madness!

For EVOLUTION, Dave has designed new capabilities that not only allow you to dial in all of the outstanding qualities of the original 2100, but combine to let you create the sonic characteristics of a wide variety of other filter types.

- A Genus control that allows continuous voltage control of the number of filter poles (from 3 to 6 poles), essentially allowing real-time variation of Evolution's effective cutoff slope from 18dB/oct to 36dB/oct. LEDs give continuous indication of the current slope.
- A Species control that lets you vary the signal level into the ladder, letting you control the intensity of the filter's characteristic distortion. When in self-oscillation mode, this control modulates the amplitude of Evolution's output.
- Voltage controlled resonance with a variable Q Level Compensation control that controls the balance of the resonant peak and the frequencies below the cutoff frequency (which would otherwise be attenuated as the resonance is increased).
- An extremely accurate and temperature-stable frequency control exponential generator (accurate over 10 octaves), rivalling the specifications of the best analog VCOs.

Taken together, EVOLUTION gives you everything from the platonic ideal of the classic ladder filter to a vast selection of alternative filter characteristics.

And like all Rossum Electro-Music modules, it's solidly built, with machined aluminium knobs and high quality components throughout.

Notes: The ADDAC603 VC Triple Bandpass Filter provides three channels of bandpass filters, fantastic for sculpting complex sounds. Each of the channels feature a gain/distortion control with switch to select between x3 or x100 gain, which can cause the input signals to distort, adding another layer of harmonic interest.

The inputs are cascaded together to allow for one source to be filtered three different ways - or each filter can be used independently. The three filters also feature controls for frequency, which sets the cutoff point; width, which sets the width of the band that is being filtered; feedback, which at high settings causes the filter to self-oscillate, and level control, which sets the amplitude of the output. Frequency, bandwidth, and output level each have CV inputs with attenuverters.

A switch sets whether the filter is 24 dB or 12dB per octave. There are individual outputs with phase switch, plus a mix output and dry/wet output with adjustable control for mix balance. This module provides a wide variety of filtering options to add complex tonal shaping to your rack.

Flexible Song-making

Each song project has 16 sequential parts called "Scenes". Each Scene has 10 sequencer tracks which can behave in different ways, as described below:

Module A-126-2 is a fully analog frequency shifter for audio signals. A frequency shifter is an audio processing unit that shifts each frequency of the incoming audio signal by the same frequency. If the shifting frequency is e.g. 200Hz an incoming audio frequency of 1000 Hz becomes 1200 Hz, 2000Hz becomes 2200 Hz, 3000 Hz becomes 3200 Hz and so on. Pay attention that this is different from pitch shifting where all frequencies are shifted proportional (e.g. 1000>1200Hz, 2000>2400Hz, 3000>3600Hz) !
The frequency range of the internal quadrature VCO is about 8 octaves (about 20Hz ... 5kHz). If required an external quadrature VCO can be used.

Just like his little brother, Chronoblob2 can sync to a clock signal. Patch one into the SYNC input and choose a multiplier or divider for rhythmic delays. Or leave SYNC unpatched for access to continuously variable delay times!

Chronoblob2 offers four different delay modes! Dual delay mode provides two separate delays with shared controls. Ping-pong mode extends this intermingling even further by placing each delay in the feedback loop of the other.

Single delay is the classic Chronoblob mode with feedback SEND and RETURN. Patch in a lowpass filter for smooth, shadowy echoes, or get weird with a wavefolder or any other effect! Cascade delay mode expands on this archetype by also placing the second delay inside the feedback loop of the main delay, creating a wild multiplying echo effect.

Chronoblob2 provides control voltage inputs for TIME, FEEDBACK, and DRY/WET, and bipolar attenuators for each so you can dial in just the right amount of control.

In Dual and Ping-pong delay modes, although both delay times are controlled by the main TIME knob, you can voltage-control each independently with the two TIME CV inputs. The right TIME CV is normalled to the left one so you can easily control both with the same signal. Additionally, the left TIME CV is normalled to five volts, allowing you to use the attenuators as offsets from the position of the main TIME knob.

Also in these 'pink' modes, the right audio input is normalled to the left input, and the right audio output is normally mixed into the left output (patching into the right jack breaks this connection).

Like the original Chronoblob, you can select the style of time modulation with the slide switch. Choose tape mode for sweeping pitchbend effects or fade mode for smoother, cleaner changes.

Chronoblob2 offers an INFINITE LOOP button and gate input to shut off the delay inputs and lock the feedback at 100%.

The Radius is a ring modulator and frequency shifter with pitch tracking and an advanced LFO. It is designed around a novel "eight-quadrant multiplier" algorithm that smoothly transitions from ring modulation to frequency shifting and allows different frequency ratios for the upper and lower tones. Radius puts complex harmonic structures, bell-like tones, metallic textures, frequency shifting, soft tremolo, and bubbly phaser sounds at your fingertips.

A ring modulator multiplies two signal signals together to create new frequencies that are the sum and difference of the input frequencies. One signal is your instrument, and the other is an internal oscillator. The Radius can double the sum or difference frequency ratios and adjust their relative levels, unlocking a spectrum of timbres beyond traditional ring modulation.

Pitch tracking, a push-to-tune footswitch, and picking dynamics make the Radius responsive and predictable on stage. Hold the left footswitch and play a note to tune the carrier oscillator to that note. Pitch tracking maintains the pitch ratio as you play up and down the scale, or tracks by a ratio (or inverse) for more dynamic sounds. An expression pedal can be assigned to any combination of knobs.

The Radius has an advanced LFO with triangle, square, random waveforms and an eight step sequencer, all of which can be envelope triggered. The envelope follower makes it responsive to playing dynamics, and two "X" modulation waveforms create sweeping spectral changes.

More than a mk2, Eowave designed it to push you to play with one of the most interesting things in modular synthesis: to divert the primary usage of a module to create unexpected and new sounds (aka this is not only 4 filters)

Tempete Magnetique is deeply inspired by the classical filters design as well as West Coast synthesis complex oscillators.

At it's core, has 4 multi-mode 12db filters that can be chosen to be routed in series or parallel, which can be used independently or combined and even cross-modulated, controlled by CV or with an integrated envelope follower (which can be used as a dynamic responsive envelope) and even pinged.

The Tempete Magnetique was designed to have several levels of use. The individual level with the use of separate filters, perfect for quadraphonic processing of different sources (A B C D).

The pair sections which allows for more complex stereo effects or to generate synthesis voices (X, Y) and finally, the global level with a cross-modulation of filters.

The independent outputs have been designed to be fed back into their input, turning them into oscillators (not really precise one, but you can make synth voice kind of V/Oct tuned with their very own sound, due to the fully analogical design, these oscillators may have strange behaviours sometimes, but this instability will bring you the warmth of analogue gears).

The pairs sections, of course, can filter an incoming signal, but can be transformed to full synthesis voice, percussion engine (exited by the ping input and modulated with the envelope follower) and way more.

This filter allows for anything from gentle, subtle filtering to a storm where the undulations of your sound and their intensity create new types of textures.
