Review: This album's title refers to a symbol of destruction and renewal, which appears appropriate for what is a considerable departure for the velvet-tonsilled singer-songwriter Lamontagne. Having set his stall out with several albums of Van Morrison-tinged folk-pop that found its way easily onto end-credit sequences and the like, he's shown a desire to stretch out and experiment, and this nocturnal opus, aided and abetted by all of My Morning Jacket, is a leap into sleepily expansive psychedelic - as reminiscent of mid-'70s Pink Floyd as the bucolic realm he normally inhabits, Yet it marks more than a mere reinvention, being a luminous gem in its own right.

Review: "Three More Days", by Ray LaMontagne, is taken from his critically acclaimed album "Till The Sun Turns Black". The b-side is Ray's breathtaking version of The Band's "In A Station", recorded live at The Union Chapel in 2006. This is an amazing 14th floor release.

Review: 14th Floor Records release the breathtaking 'Trouble' (new radio mix) by acclaimed songwriter Ray LaMontagne on July 24th 2006 on CD and collector's gatefold, coloured & limited edition 7 inch, complete with poster. 'Trouble' was written by Ray and produced by the gifted, single-minded producer Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon) and remixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Damien Rice, Snow Patrol, Green Day). The Guardian has described it as sounding like 'a long lost masterpiece', whilst The Times pronounce it 'a small miracle' and the Telegraph declare it to be 'heart melting magic'. The B-side to the single is a wonderful live recording of album track 'Burn', recorded at Sarm Studios in London in August 2005.
