Aphex Twin is a groundbreaking British electronic musician, producer, and composer, widely acclaimed for his influential and experimental approach to sound. Born Richard D. James in Limerick, Ireland, in 1971 and raised in Cornwall, England, he emerged in the early 1990s as a central figure in the UK’s IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) scene.
