His alter ego, Slim Shady, had sparked furious debates at the time about freedom of speech and artistic expression, and the record came after the death of his close friend and fellow artist Proof in 2006. Review: The masterful Light in The Attic have been deep int he archives again and this time serve up a remastered version of rap dons Freestyle Fellowship's To Whom It May Concern album. This one has been mixed from the original 4-track tapes by Cut Chemist and is a first ever double vinyl pressing. What's more, it has the full cover art for the first time with some fine liner notes to add context while you listen. This record is said to have set off the indie hip hop movement and remains way ahead of its time with made mic creativity next to killer beats.

Review: O.G. Original Gangster was the fourth album from American legend Ice-T, along with beat making help from the likes of Africa Islam, Beatmaster V and DJ Aladdin. It reached the Top 10 of Billboard's album chart at the time and went on to be certified gold, hence this reissue is a welcome one that re-highlight's Ice's skills on the mic. Many argue it features his best work, with musings on decaying America and humours digs at Public Enemy and angst up deliveries on "Lifestyles Of The Rich And Infamous." The production hits hard, emphasising each message with visceral thrills. This is a classic for a reason.

Review: The third volume of the Members Only mixtapes would serve as the final addition to the saga released during the lifetime of controversial experimental emo-hip-hop artist XXXTentacion (real name Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy), who would tragically lose their life in a botched robbery/shooting just under a year later. Known for his genre-bending fusion of hyper aggressive trap interspliced with emotive displays of tortured catharsis, these collaborative collections, originally formulated with friend and regular collaborator Ski Mask The Slump God, became a highlight for fans of the young artist's seemingly endless and expansive discography. Extending the banner to incorporate a myriad of like-minded alternative rappers such as Wifisfuneral, Bass Santana, Robb Banks, Craig Xen and Killstation, Volume 3 is regularly commended for its collective vision, dynamic production and ever-shifting moods, while Onfroy's charisma would still commend the focal point spotlight across its weighty 23 tracks and hour-long runtime.
