Review: While Candido enjoyed successful and influential records in every decade he operated in, for house music Dancin' & Prancin' was by far his most historic record. Way ahead of its time in its groove dynamics, "Jingo" still packs a punch almost 40 years later while "Thousand Finger Man" was essentially the ultimate prototype deep house record. In case the originals weren't quite enough, both key tracks are presented with version variety including Shep Pettibone's groundbreaking drum-wizard epic take on "Jingo". A quintessential example of original edit craft.

Leroy's vocals are at their very peak, flexing around that midrange that allows him to dynamically hit both high and low moments while Levan's production ensures the entire band shines in the right places; the salubrious slap bass on the Wonder-esque "Dancing Into The Stars", the full-flavour backing vocal harmonies on "Something Else", the interstellar keys on "Lay It On The Line"... Everyone in the Logg project plays a pivotal role in one of the coolest boogie records of the era. Essential.
