Review: The second release on Glasgow imprint Tremors is by Tom Livingstone aka Arctor. He has a way of making music for moments where the crowd has just melted in the palm of the dancefloor. His latest EP entitled Heartless bursts with kaleidoscopic melodies and streamlined percussion From the high octane electro bass of "Exploding Head Syndrome" with its respectful nod to greats like Drexciya or Dopplereffekt, or the more UK electro influenced "Bad Blood" with its heady booming acid vibe, to the emotive B side cut "United" showing the more contemplative side of his sound - the Glaswegian producer continues his run of sophisticated electro euphoria.

Review: Tom Livingston doesn't release all that much as Arctor, but what he does put out tends to be rather hot. That's certainly the case with this EP for Tremors, which is his first solo 12" for two years. He begins with the pulsating title track, a body-popping blend of thrusting, arpeggio style bass, fizzing electronics, punchy machine drums and robotic vocoder vocals, before showcasing the spacey, deeper side of his dancefloor-friendly tracks on the superb "Kuleshov Effect". Arguably best of all, though, is epic B-side "Odyssey", a non-stop, 12-minute voyage through electro-techno fusion full of glassy-eyed female vocals samples, acidic riffs and starry synthesizers.

Review: New Glasgow electro label Tremors presents their first vinyl release, featuring a collection of remixes of tracks from their Bandcamp back catalogue. Aftershocks Volume 1 kicks off with a particularly bold remix by Klakson boss Dexter who turns Old Boy's "Tracer" into an electro-bass monster, James Shinra (Analogical Force) channels the best of the Motor City on his emotive rework of Arctor's "Memory Gene" rounding up the A side. On the flip, Arctor remains the focus, with remixes of "Selfish Lover" by Forward Strategy Group's Patrick Walker and Hungarian newcomer David Harleydson impressed us likewise with his fierce and futurist perspective of "The Gulf".

Review: After a long leave of absence, Tremors 007 is finally upon us. With a new look, and even funkier sound, a new era of Tremors Recordings is here. Tremors 007 see Poland's new star Greg Kobe team up with San Paulo to produce a pair of real ass shakers, two breaks driven, funky productions, sure to fire up DJ's and dance floors in equal measure, and, to round of the labels excellent comeback, Martyn Hare delivers a prime time stompin remix, enhancing the title track 'Connect', adding further breaks and stabs, to really push the whole track along to another level.
