A quick introduction, in case it's needed... Sal P is Sal Principato, the main man behind Fist Of Facts and seminal post-disco band Liquid Liquid. With that type of reference you already get the idea of the gravitas of the groove on "Try". Writer's mix is a blissed out, far-away breakbeat sloucher that's woozier and more wistful than a month of Glastonburys. Die Himmlische's Maschine mix is more positive in its outlook, delivered with distinctive Kraftwerk-meets-David Holmes panache. The Dub For Chicago version makes much more of a direct house statement thanks to a twinkling groove, deep bass rumbles and some beautiful piano stroking.
