In the spirit of cultural pride, Rune Lindbaek provides the audio tour guide into the unexplored back streets of Norwegian disco tracks on Gronmo Edits - perhaps with the exception of "Rasputin" which is more a tribute to the German style (the name's a dead giveaway!). "Lonely Woman/I Dekning" is an edit of a track by a certain cult Norse rock band and is chill balearica just the way we like it. A certain Danish disco favourite gets a respectful edit on "Disco Tango". Rune Lindbaek from the now legendary 'Those Norwegians' recording outfit has been releasing music since 1992. He has produced with the disco heroes Idjut Boys and Lindstrom, and remixed artists like The Knife, Jose Gonzalez and Bryan Ferry. He has released music on seminal labels like Smalltown Supersound, Beatservice and Parlophone.
